Custer was shoulder wounded. he had a hole from a 41 caliber revolver in his skull. He had a 41 cal and those were very rare. A couple other officers had them too. Maybe he handed his side arm to his brother and said, " Do it ".

Very badly underestimated. that's why Intel is so important. Lessons learned. And no don't sell good weapons to OUR ENEMIES .

Not likely. since he died of a gunshot wound to the head , by his own gun. either it was taken from him and he was shot. or he committed suicide since he was shoulder wounded and he was about to be captured. Or his friend shot him who died nearby. It was not that uncommon to commit suicide rather than be captured by natives, who would inflict horrible tortures . Now you know why we have this snicker when we talk about " Old indian stories" in t he usa. they are famed for making up dramatic bullshhht fairy tales. .

Some guy made it up because they are famous for storytelling and other bullshhht. other things are already proven by forensic evidence. custer died of a gunshot would to the head. nobody of the tribes knew he was dead or there at all till several days later. Internet, books, community college, government grants, etc - even old style crafts and art are selling online as long as they are genuinely made by native tribe people.
