Hint: the Civil war, involving armies and armed attacks on our military forts, was an insurrection, and what the amendment is based on to bar such a candidate. Trump NEVER EVEN REMOTELY DID ANY SUCH THING. He told his 500,000 protesters to protest peacefully. about .01% decided to engage in varying degrees of riot, aka breaking a window or pulling a cop from the doorway etc. Most charged with minor trespass only, walking into a normally open capitol building. Protests are common in DC, and this one was legal. YOU HAVE NO FACTS.

He kept inflation down. the price of gas was excellent. He didn't do the horrible things dems have done to us. He got rid of the personal mandate of obamacare. allowed out of state insurance companies in to other states to allow competition aka lower pricing for us all. etc

WE did see him, and he was not engaged in a ny sort of insurrection. the Civil war was an insurrection which was indicated in the amendment. . But Jan 6 was not an armed attack nor did Trump tell anyone to do so. He said the opposite. He said to go peacefully to protest which was entirely legal. Out of 500,000 or so protesters, maybe .01% did anything illegal in the least. also it's not in the least bit illegal to deny the acceptance of suspicious vote counts. The protest was legally permitted. The intent waslegal as well. Protest is called political speech and is protected under the Constitution and common in DC to have huge protests at the Capitol. It is not that uncommon to have a refusal to accept the vote count, and instead have it investigated for cause. There was plenty of cause to do so. The Republicans almost all voted to NOT accept the suspicious vote count. In fact a court challenge of the count was in order but it was wrongly not allowed, because of biased judges who did not want to even so much as look into it. Including Barr, who failed his duty badly .

The DC cops are saying that they were all held back from policing and maintaining order, because of bad management of the event, by those in charge of policing and the Guard and military. NOT because of Trump ( he had asked for extra guard to be on duty, but they failed to show up !)

The cops failed to showup as the leaders didn't send them ! truly idiotic. There has to be alot of cops for protests of this size. there were only a few. The rest of those legally present protesters did nothing at all illegal whatsoever. Trump told them all to protest peacefully and let thier voices be heard. That is a common thing in DC and quite legal. Definitely NOT an insurrection or there would have been hundreds of those already.

  45.  @SilverFox-1212  well you need a lot more info. the fact is that trump had asked for a lot of national guard to be deployed along the legal protest route as it was a lot of people expected, and about 500,000 came. BUT one guy named Miller, ( an assistant secretary of defense ) on his own, disobeyed the President and failed to send any extra guard troops for the protest. but it is being kept very quiet. this was witnessed by a general and published in a military website. The chief of Police of DC was on Tucker Carlson explaining that he coul d NOT get any help from the normal channels , a s if they had been told not to do anything by the people in charge- pelosi and mcconnel. . He called and called and begged for guards or cops and did not get any for hours. til the New Jersey cops came to back him up, and then after everyone had left the protest, then the Guard showed up. They were mad that they had been told not to go at first. Trump told the protesters to stay peaceful,that is on video. The stuff happening at the Capitol happened before and during trump's speech at a different location and he wasn't aware of it. About .01% of protesters did anything illegal . That is remarkable for a crowd with totally inadequate LEO presence. You say you know what an insurrection is, NO you do not. the civil war was the insurrection used for the amendment in the constitution. Not this protest witha very few protesters smashing windows or pulling cops from the doorways, unarmed and without a plan for takeover. Protests are common and can be huge in DC, where it is traditional, and also considered to be political speech. this one was poorly policed and a few people got out of hand , it's more of a riot by far, than an insurrection. Get a dam dictionary or something. People have done group protests for decades, inside the capitol as it is usually open. they have chained themselves to rails and gotten arrested, blocked hallways, etc. These people did nothing inside the capitol even approaching that.
