  5.  @matthewzappetillo8294  maybe it isn't low elevation. there's a lot of highlands there. but you can make any soil fertile, it's called FERTILIZIER ie manure etc.

  6. there are some less extreme mennonites in Oregon, i went to school with some of the girls. you couldn't much tell them from any others. The ones i knew each had thier boyfriend while in HS, whom they married as soon as they legally could. Not mennonite guys.

  7. a lot of people in the modern world would like to live some kind of version of this, but of course with thier own faith and beliefs. but the huge family, living on the land, etc. And avoiding the modern world has an appeal to many. If the modern world systems implode, they will be better off than many and already are. No isolated old folks, etc.
