I really like your approach to these classic cars. Modify it to make it better and more modern but keep the classic look. I hate when people but bling bling rims on classic cars. This also applies to performance. Make it a bit faster but it doesn't need to be crazy. Keep it classic just better.

I'm so happy that Toyota hasn't gotten on the "downsized turbo engine" train. Toyota obviously realizes that turbos are a good way to boost performance but also hurt reliability. Lets face it they don't do anything for fuel economy either. You can take a 2.5 NA vs a 1.5 turbo and get the same HP figures while only maybe 1 mpg gain. Its just not worth it. If you're going to put turbos on an engine it needs to be for performance reasons only, not mpg.

No Outback you were supposed to destroy the SUVs not join them!

Good to hear. I've heard so many horror stories about those damn bean-counter bureaucrats taking JDM cars and crushing them.

I just wanted to warn you, you have 666k subscribers. The gates have opened. He is here. And he's wearing Minion crocs, a Hello Kitty backpack and a fedora. This isn't good.

@speedzero7478 Yeah its like nothing nothing nothing and then oh now there's a little bit. My car has a 3.6 V6 and it has power all the time.

@Blue84Stang Really? I thought it was just a Florida thing.

People say its just a rebadged BMW, well so? BMW is known for making terrible cars aren't they, oh wait not thats wrong. I would have still preferred for it to be 100% Toyota just for reliability reasons and the fact that it would be much easier to work on. BMW's are a pain in the ass to work on. Question is if you buy one and need to have it serviced do you take it to a Toyota or BMW dealer?

Don't let the Federal government find out about it. They'll take it and crush it because it doesn't meet some weird regulation.

They need to make a new version of this built on the Alpha platform with the Generation V LT1 and LT4, and the new 10R90 10 speed, plus the manual for those who like to go slower. And if they want to keep it from suffering the same fate as this SS, offer it with something other than a 6.2 V8, like say a High Feature V6 and the EcoTec I4. Not everyone wants a V8 in a family sedan, now i admit those people are stupid but its about selling cars.
1
Yeah i know, i said if they don't want a future (hypothetical) SS to suffer the same fate as the current SS (Commodore) then they should offer it with other engines. They shut down the Elizabeth plant but theres no reason they can't make it at the Lansing plant in Michigan.

I love Audis. Every time i work on one i end up throwing tools across the shop and swearing under my breath trying not to get fired. Ah fun.

I wish i had the money to do what you do. I need to get a real job i guess.

@SarahnTuned See that wouldn't work for me. I'm not pretty enough.........or funny enough. Not to mention the only method i have for fixing things is by hitting it with a hammer. It works 50% of the time, the other 50% it just breaks it worse. Not exactly educational.

I don't know why but I've always loved those 80s digital gauges. They look so futuristic and retro at the same time. I learned to drive in a Chevy Astro with gauges like that.

I really want to build a truck like this. I just need the money, knowledge, skill, ambition and .................everything, i need everything. I already gave up.
