@user-zb8tq5pr4x Ben Shapiro accomplished more by his 20th birthday than your entire family will accomplish in their collective lifetimes. Disagree with him, thats fine but don't call him a moron.

We're all just people at the end of the day. Does race make a difference? Sure it can when you're talking about culture. We tend to gravitate to people that are similar to us and being the superficial creatures that we are race is one of the first things we look at. Consequently people self segregate and different cultures are established. We are all the same because we are all different. We are all individuals who are completely different. All of this racial divide has a political origin. Politicians love to group us together and then turn the different groups against each other. They use the media to do this more often than not. Why is it that the media will tell you that a race war is on the horizon but in everyday life people of all races get along just fine? But its not just race, its also man vs woman, gay vs straight, Christian vs Muslim, liberal vs conservative. But if you put two people belonging to two groups together in a room they will find out that they have more in common than not. Its the politicians that want us to hate each other. They make people so angry that they won't even listen to what their "opponent" has to say. They just scream and yell and bury their head in the sand. Its all about getting votes to stay in power, divide and conquer.

The fact that the socialists don't think humans are selfish is the whole problem with socialism. Either way neither socialism or capitalism has all the answers. The solution is rather to balance the two and take the best of each side to create a system that works for everyone. Too much socialism and you have rampant government corruption, economic stagnation and finally collapse. Too much capitalism and you have corporate corruption, terrible treatment of the working class and constant cycles of boom and bust. Capitalism seems to be a much more sustainable system but its not without serious flaws. Most systems are a sort of hybrid system that are mostly capitalist with a dose of socialism. For example in America we have a few social programs like welfare and social security, while we also have a heavily regulated economy. Organizations like the EPA, FDA and OSHA are designed to protect the workers and consumers but can also over regulate to the point of causing a loss in profits which leads to lower wages which hurts the working class. They also have a tendency to bankrupt small businesses leading a 50% failure rate over 5 years. So the FDA telling a meat packing company that they can't sell rotten meat, i agree with that, but OSHA fining a small business thousands of dollars just because an employee took their safety glasses off to clean them, that's taking it too far.

Diversity of thought is what makes America great, not diversity of race or gender identities. I'll tell you most of the Hispanics i've met are more conservative than most white Republicans. There was a time when we could all agree to disagree, but not anymore. As the one guy said neither side has all the answers and its the cooperation between the two that creates change. American politics has become stagnant because the two sides refuse to work together, they're at each other's throats all the time. Its mostly the fault of the media. Whether you like Trump or not, hes working hard to end the monopoly of information that the media has. Hopefully again Americans can start to work together and stop fighting all the damn time.

All i can say is i wouldn't let some complete stranger in off the streets into my home and allow them to live with me. He could be a saint or he could be a serial killer, i don't know and i'm not going to bet my life on it. Immigrants are more than welcome here in America but they MUST go through the legal processes. Laws exist for a reason, we don't get to pick and choose which ones to follow.

@firstlast9916 Never said that. I used it as a metaphor. I would not let a complete stranger live in my house regardless of race, nationality, religion, or gender identity. Does that cover all of the ways liberals categorize people? Anyways, the point is that in this metaphor i would only let someone that i knew and trusted into my home. We should do the same on the national level regarding immigration. If we let everyone in without discrimination then we will be welcoming in many hardworking and honest people, but we may also be letting in a few criminals. All it takes is a few to ruin or end many innocent lives. Is it worth it?

@firstlast9916 In this metaphor the stranger's nationality does not even matter. The point is that i trust no one, American or not, to let into my home (as in my literal physical house not my country) if i do not know them. Do you know what a metaphor is? The metaphor has nothing to do with the issue at hand and is instead used as a tool to simplify and explain the issue by using an example that you can more closely relate to.
