@xbeaker Don't insult the Aztec like that. Its at least pretty practical and was in Breaking Bad. Its just ugly and unreliable.

@humanhuman5024 Sure if you want to replace the battery every few months.

When you get behind 4 cars all doing the same speed side by side, its like a rolling roadblock.

@Erratos Radioactive waste is stored in a large concrete container until its safe to bury. Uranium has a half-life of 10,000 years so we won't be burying that anytime soon. Thorium on the other hand has a half-life of 100 years, is 4 times more abundant and a meltdown is physically impossible with Thorium reactors. It produces no emissions and contrary to popular belief nuclear power plants do not blanket the nearby area with radiation causing children to be born with 3 legs. The radiation is 100% contained. Unlike in the movies when a nuclear reactor melts down it does not explode like a nuclear bomb. What happens is that the fuel rods are exposed to open air (usually due to a water pump failure) the begin overheating and melt together into a blob of super-heated uranium( google the elephants foot). Now this is only possible with a uranium reactor. Thorium differs in that it requires constant energy input to sustain the reaction, with uranium once you start the reaction you cannot stop it, hence why its more dangerous. So with Thorium if a water pump fails and the fuel rods begin to overheat you simply stop the reaction and they cool down.

They need to make this car with a regular 6.4 Hemi. 966 HP is just...................... yeah.

Mobile Terminaluser There is no explosion when a nuclear reactor melts down. Its called a meltdown because the fuel rods overheat and melt together. Have you ever seen the remnants of Chernobyl? Its all still mostly intact, there would be nothing left if there was a nuclear explosion. Nuclear weapons and nuclear reactors are not even closely related technologies, they use entirely different principles. The only thing they share is the word nuclear. An explosion would be possible if the superheated fuel rods were to suddenly hit a large enough amount of water, it would cause it to instantly vaporize. An explosion is just rapidly expanding gases after all, so yes water can explode.

I learned to drive in one of these. I never knew it was so unsafe. Good thing I don't drive like an Asian woman.

So Car and Driver bad yes? But seriously we need more mid-engine 4 cylinder cars like this. There's not that many. The Lotus Elise/Exige and the Toyota MR2 are the only ones that come to mind. Lightweight is the king of performance, you don't need 1000 hp to have fun.

VTEC just kicked in BOI.

I saw a video of a Belgian draft horse winning a tug of war against 20 men.

Am i the only person who wants a totally stock Supra?
2
Pretty simple really. Throw about 5 or 6 turbos on there, a 5000 shot of NOS, and turn you flux capacitor up to 500 jigawatts. Don't forget racing stripes and decals. Every stripe adds about 100 hp and every decal adds 50 hp, so just pile them on there, stacks em 5 high, whatever you gotta do.

This is exactly what they do in video games when they want to avoid paying for licensed vehicles. But they are doing this in real life..............with real cars...............wow.

I'm a Chevy guy all the way but i love both. I honestly don't get this rivalry BS. As far as Dodge, they're not even in the game. They're not bad cars but they don't even begin to compete. I will say that for most of history the Camaro was a better car though, especially through the 80s. But they were both pretty much garbage then so thats not saying much. What i really want is for Ford to build a Corvette competitor. The new GT is awesome but WAY too expensive.

McLaren Senna vs Model T.

Nobody ever mentions why they're called "Semi trucks". Its because they haul semi-trailers. Semi trailers are called semi because they only have 2 axles on the rear, a full trailer has at least one axle on both front and rear like a car.

Yeah you know that hillbilly driving the rusted out Nissan pickup truck with a confederate flag doing 40 in a 65 in the LEFT lane. Yeah its his fault.

Neither, LANCIA IS KING.
1
Yeah exactly, the main problem is the batteries themselves. If we were to replace the batteries with a hydrogen fuel cell, then they have a real shot at totally replacing the combustion engine. The batteries are not just dirty to produce, but they also hurt the practicality of EVs. There's the weight, charging times, costs etc.

They're able to sell this car for 60k because it's mass produced. Most supercars are hand built. But who's really going to be abled to tell if it's hand built or mass produced? I would rather buy one of these for a third of the price of a Ferrari and not be too scared to damage it. Most Ferraris spend their time in rush hour traffic in Beverley Hills or Monaco just so the owners can be seen driving it.

I want a new skyline. The GTR is supposed to be that but i don't really consider it the skyline replacement. For one thing the skyline had a volume car origin, then the had the skyline GTR that was the performance version. But they had a regular skyline that was just an ordinary car. The new GTR is just too expensive and too powerful, its a supercar. I don't want a supercar.

As usual car journalists are full of bs. They have ruined the car industry by expecting every single vehicle to drive like a sports car. Family cars, luxury sedans, suvs, and even pickup trucks now get negative reviews if they don't handle well enough on a track.

Yeah and lets not forget that the races will be very short. Electric cars have a place in the world. They are driven by pretentious virtue signalling rich people who only drive it to look "trendy". So you're looking at about 1% of the population. The other 99% simply never will buy an electric car. Why do you think the only electric cars that sell are Teslas? Because Tesla cars are like an Iphone, they're "trendy". VW can make a car that will be 10X better than a Tesla and no one will buy it because its just a VW.
1
MKULTRA Oh hell nah, i slow down just to piss them off. Nobody is that important.
1
Supercars are not usually bought by car people. They are bought by rich kids from Beverley Hills that want attention on Instagram. If you want a fast car and don't care about showing off you buy something like a 911.

I got every one except for the formula drift question. Too easy.

So in other words Toyota is going to continue to dominate the car industry. Well can't say i'm upset. Hopefully the competition will step it up as a result.

My favorite engine sound is the Bugatti W16.

Well Tesla has been somewhat successful, i mean they've built actual cars. Tesla is a tech company not a car company. Honestly they would have been much more successful if they had just manufactured car parts and sourced them to actual car companies.

Yeah yeah. My bicycle will outlast your Civic. Loser...

Mike BEEP is an interesting guy.

I've never liked the PT cruiser but that 4x4 one, now that's just cool.

@LH-zz1pg Solar and wind power are not consistent or reliable. As a result you have to install natural gas power plants to make up for the hours of low production. So what they have found is that whenever they install solar and wind infrastructure the CO2 emissions increase. Compare France to Germany. Germany in recent years has managed to get 50% of their power from renewables, primarily wind power. France gets about 85% of their power from nuclear. On Average Germans produce twice as much CO2 per capita than the French. Not just that but they also pay twice as much for electricity.

Why nobody bought these. Gets to Viper: it didn't sell and now its in hell. Wow thanks buddy, now i know why it didn't sell. My guess is because it only had a giant V10 and didn't have the brand recognition to warrant the price.

Electric cars completely take the fun out of anything related to cars. Performance cars: No sound, too heavy which means they handle like crap, limited range means no track days. However they are very fast in a straight line up to about 100 mph. Overlanding: No range so you can't go more than 100 miles from a charger, too heavy which means you'll get stuck in mud or snow. Good luck trying to overland in the Australian outback for example. Road trips: No range which means you add hours to your trip for charging and have to deal with constant range anxiety ruining the experience. EVs make for good commuter cars if you have a nice house in the suburbs with a garage and enough space and money for a secondary gas car. For the other 80% of the population EVs will never work. Long live combustion.
