None of this will happen if we don't radically change the way we function as a species. If things continue the way they are going we will be extinct by 2100. Fossil fuels which destroy the planet, wars which destroy our cities and self-centered politics and economic systems that divide us and stunt our growth. Not to mention our population cannot exceed the threshold limit of 10 billion, our planet simply can't sustain it. If it were to exceed that limit we would deplete natural resources faster than they can be replenished, even with genetic engineering. We will see that our future is not what you see in movies with massive mega-cities and flying cars. We will have to learn to live modestly if we are to survive as a species. In some aspects we may even regress and live like our ancestors.
