I know a lot of people complain about the costs of medical care in America. The reason it costs so much has to do partly with price gouging, waste, high wages for healthcare workers, etc. But a big reason is because we fund about 40% of the medical research and development in the world and developed 57% of the new medications between 2001 and 2010. Chances are most of the medicine, medical procedures or medical equipment that you use in Germany was pioneered in America. https://www.forbes.com/sites/matthewherper/2011/03/23/the-most-innovative-countries-in-biology-and-medicine/?sh=49db44e71a71 https://www.wsj.com/articles/how-other-countries-freeload-on-u-s-drug-research-1487722580

Lets also not forget the portions of food they give you at sit-down restaurants. I can't stand it especially since i hate wasting anything. But they always give you 5 pounds of food. WHY? From what i've heard is that in Germany if you don't eat everything on your plate people give you funny looks, so people only take as much as they can eat. But my God you would have to a body builder to eat all the food they give you.

So in Germany they spend a lot of time teaching about the Nazis and WW2. Well in America they teach a lot about slavery, segregation and racism. Now i can understand learning about it so that it never happens again, but it also creates all sorts of unnecessary guilt and division when its preached to children CONSTANTLY. It makes Germans hate being German, it makes white Americans hate being white and it makes black people hate whites. The level of hatred some blacks have for us is unbelievable. Look up Brandon Tatum. He grew up in a ghetto and hated white people until he went to collage and realized we're not all slave drivers. My point is that schools are supposed to teach not indoctrinate.

Yes we Americans really need to be more aware when it comes to recycling and wasting, as well as we need to expand on public transportation. Germany has the highest rate of recycling in the world, so its understandable that you might be shocked by the wastefulness of Americans, hell it shocks me. Everything in America is so cheap that people never have to worry about wasting anything. Then theres food, they estimate that an average American household throws away %25 of the food they buy. As far as public transportation its obviously because cars and fuel are dirt cheap. When gas gets up to $3 a gallon people think the world is going to end. But thats still DIRT cheap compared to Europe. But chances are it won't always be that way so we need to invest heavily in public transportation. They've proven that there is a direct link between being able to escape poverty and access to reliable public transportation.

Have you ever seen the channel NALF? He's an American living in Germany. He always talks about how he prefers Germany for their culture, being efficient and methodical. You say you love America for the friendliness and freedom. I guess its all about personal preferences. I would say you could do a collaboration but that's probably a bit of a stretch. It would be interesting though. I also just realized he recently passed the 50,000 subscriber mark.
