@gally3123 I agree, it's common sense to see their resources were very low having already been expended. No food supplies (also explains state of prisoners in prison & work camps, a.k.a, "concentration camps"), and the fact the generals were disagreeing about where to place the panzers (otherwise they'd have layers of panzers fore and aft). Not the western allies problem as some say, but it indicates the war was already won from the east, and that is the point. Silly to stand over your defeated foe gloating, when he was already beaten up by the time you arrived (at the end of the war). And attitudes in the west explain a lot to this day.

@BatMan-oe2gh And the war having been raging for years the soldiers knew very well what they had to do to operate those weapons in the combat environment.

@AroundSun I'm not so sure that's really true because if Germany wasn't fighting anyone else, then all those things would also have been true for Germany.
