  1. The writing was on the wall when Sanders labeled himself as a socialist. He should have used the term: "New Dealer" instead. Our entire education system, for decades, has equated Socialism with Communism, so the smarter thing to do would have been to use another term. Another mistake, I feel, was the over use of the term: "Revolution". Many people think of revolution as violent overthrow, with people running through the streets. It scares people It sounds extreme. And it appeals more to younger people who don't vote.

  6. I don't think so. Sanders realizes it is absolutely critical for Trump to be defeated in the fall. Absolutely critical. I believe this is why he took care not to destroy Biden, realizing he was going to be the odds-on favorite to get the nomination. Unfortunately, this is a piss poor year to be talking "revolution". If Trump wins, and gets another Supreme Court nomination, any hope of change will be off for another fifty years.

  7.  @117Ender  He caved when it became obvious he wasn't going to win the nomination outright. Short of that, his chances were hopeless. The party rules rigged a split vote. I thought from day one, Sanders should have done more to explain his healthcare system and compare himself with Roosevelt instead of the socialism crap. Most voters are dummies. Democrats always complicate things and go over voters heads.
