@viralaftershock2401 It's these 24/7 "news " programs. To attract customers they basically feed the public what they think they want to hear. Demonizing the other side is another tactic that works.

@fshn4x4 I agree, but looking at it another way, nations from around the world invest tens of trillions of dollars in the US because we offer the largest military in the world and stability. If we begin to act on "crazy ideas" (the tea party movement comes to mind), will investment go elsewhere? If that happens our economy will crash . If the current polarization between parties continues, will this be perceived as instability? If so, we are in trouble.
