  8.  @troybrownrigg1860  Keystone already supplies the US with oil. There are several Keystone pipelines . The latest branch, the one that was cancelled, was designed to move oil to the Gulf for sales overseas. Shale deposits, btw, not shell. The US currently has 180 oil pipelines; 34 are now under construction.

  10.  @troybrownrigg1860  They use pipelines already. Keystone is a whole series of pipelines that have been in used for years. The one branch that was cancelled was for Canadian export overseas.

  11.  @jesusisalive3227  Keystone has several pipelines in the US. In total, the US has 180 operating oil pipelines and 34 are currently being built (I just looked it up). That cancelled one was to CARRY CANADIAN OIL TO THE GULF TO SELL . That has nothing at all to do with high gasoline prices. Private entities set the prices.

  14.  @escapedagain3339  It takes 2 to 3 years for a new well to produce oil. There is no oil shortage anyway. Read up on how they price gasoline. There's more to it than supply and demand.
