Doing nothing would have caused millions of deaths. If Trump had brains, he would have put the US on some kind of war footing, followed expert advice, and would have been the nation's top promoter of wearing masks. Instead, he surrounded himself with quacks and politicized the pandemic. Even today 45% of Republicans say they won't get vaccinated. This is insane.
