Forty years ago a person could get a job at Sears and earn enough to buy a home, buy a car, send a kid to college and go on a yearly vacation. Trump is making no attempt to bring this back. What he is for (he's against minimum wage laws) is cheap labor , just like the other billionaires. If billionaire were taxed at the same level they were 40 years ago, we wouldn't have to rely on foundation handouts for the medication that everyone else in the world takes for granted. The Republicans have always tried to gut the government of funding (except for their pet projects. We have the fanciest aircraft carriers in the world) so government can't provide services. The resulting frustration erodes trust. Now we have a world of shitty roads, collapsing bridges , rioting in the streets, a horrible education system , a broke post office, bankrupt cities and polluted air and water. Meanwhile, New York City is booming with shiny high rise penthouse skyscrapers with million dollar apartment price tags. They can't build enough of them. This is Trump world.
