  6.  @paulbaetz2436  Iran didn't storm the embassy, the people did. We propped up the ruthless dictator, the Shah, for decades. The people had had enough. Carter had nothing to do with that at all. Are you saying the US should have gone in there (killing the hostages for sure) and reinserted a hated dictator? I don't think you understand the concept of common sense.

  9.  @paulbaetz2436  Reagan had a simple way to negotiate the hostage's release - he gave them everything they demanded (including billions of dollars worth of sanctions ) and arranged to have Israel send them weapons. He made these arrangements prior to being sworn in which is illegal.
