  29.  @Kahless_the_Unforgettable  The debt really doesn't go to our grandkids. It never has to be paid off. At 2% inflation (the goal) , the debt decreases 40% every twenty years. It gets cheaper over time. The most important thing any government does is keeping people employed. Balancing the budget is good for individuals , but it is meaningless on a large scale.
