When buying online, I look for one specific piece of information: WHERE was it manufactured so as to avoid places with human rights abuse (or at least where abuse is far more egregious/extensive). Descriptions used to include this information but now many/most will simply say "imported." That is not at all helpful! It would be even better if the supply chain of components was also included but that seems too much to ask.
