  1. You've confirmed my suspicion that this is being manipulated by the CCP, but I'd back it up a bit. I think the CCP was withdrawing money that they had put in the US markets, too. The way the tech moguls in China are lying flat, it wouldn't surprise me that they've been pressured to withdraw investments of personal funds from foreign markets. Wealthy CCP members also offshored money in foreign accounts and could have been prompted to sell shares based on the propaganda.
