  1. Part of the problem is people on the grid are unaware of usage other than when looking at their electricity bill. If you're off the grid and supplying your own solar power, you'd make adjustments as needed because you can't use energy that you don't have! The best solution would be to make each home and business produce their own power and "go without" or make other adjustments when needed so that everyone would learn to properly value and conserve their energy sources.
