  1. You've touched upon a number of things that got me to take up sewing once again. It became harder to find clothes using only natural fibers and manufactured ethically that are according to my taste and budget. I've kept pieces that I like regardless, but have grown particular about purchasing anything new. Now that I need to replace some every-day items, it just makes more sense to sew them myself.

  3. If this was worn under a corset, using a toilet would have been a horrible ordeal! And having buttons UNDER the corset would have been a PAIN.

  4. When prepping my pointe shoes, I always melted the ends of the ribbons so that they wouldn’t fray. Why wait until fraying begins?
