  1. There is a dearth of critical thinking. Most don't even notice a wrong premise, let alone question it. And all too often, "education" is now about manipulating feelings rather than a presentation of facts. Too many won't question an assertion but will presume it to be a fact just because they see it in multiple sources, never considering how easy it is for bad information to spread these days.

  2.  @gregb6469  Exactly! And those who are calling out the lies tend to get silenced, censored, shut down, deboosted, demonitized, etc. Brave are the souls that don't let this stop them!
