Ana, leave this to the experts. You are not among them. People are also SO impatient. Tweeks ARE being made where leftist drug policies are in action. You just need time to allow for the actual experts to get numbers and data, so the policies can be tweeked the right ways. These new drug policies are a massive shift to what we´ve done for so, so long. We KNOW that criminalizing and penalizing does not work. Safety and humane treatment however, DOES work. We must also remember that the goal isn´t to get everyone to quit drugs completely, but rather delay the age people start using drugs, prevent the number of people using (especially hard drugs), prevent easily preventable diseases such as HEP A, B and C and HIV etc. The goal is HARM REDUCTION. That´s what truly matters.
Sobriety is an amazing goal for many people, but not for all. Sobriety is not always a choice for someone. The goal then is STILL harm reduction via safe injection sites, free clean needles etc., and DIGNITY.
Addiction is a disease, not a criminal act. Addicts deserve dignity and respect, just as much as everyone else. Drug addiction should never make you lose your human rights. Never.
Also, forcing people who are not ready to quit or seek sobriety in any shape or form ought not to be pressured. That is only increasing harm and loss of respect, dignity and bodily atonomy for said people. Sobriety comes from within. One must truly want and need sobriety for oneself in order to quit whatever drug they want to quit long term. It is literally impossible to force someone to get sober.. they´ll only resent you and go deeper into their addiction, because addiction is safe to them.. at least. it is what feels safest to them.
I know quite a lot about addiction on a deep level. I´ve dealt with and dealing with it personally, secondary, drugs have been a part of my whole life´s story. I sit in the board in one of Norway´s leading drug organisations. So I feel fairly qualified to speak on this issue. I´m extremely knowledgable on drugs and drug policies around the world; not that I would call myself an expert though. Yet still, I´m far more knowledgable than the average person, definitely including Ana. Ana is generally a smart woman, but is clueless when it comes to drugs and policies surrounding drugs and addicted people and their needs.
Sincerely, a norwegian progressive drug user and drug addict worker/volunteer who has died of an overdose before, been homeless and seen as nothing, but who have managed to rise up and fight for not just myself, but ALL who share my experience of addiction.

It's funny how Dump a while ago complained about how there weren't any "Norwegian immigrants" coming to the US.. like, bro. If you think Norway and Norwegians are so great, why won't you (as in America) not try to implement our kind of policies?
Like why tf would we move to HELLISH America when we have it so good here? It could CERTAINLY be WAY BETTER here, but hell, this is paradise, a real life utopia in comparison.
I mean, it's not like we don't have incredibly rich people here.. we most certainly do. It's just that they're not allowed to exploit the poor, middle, basically the working class anywhere close to the same extent. We could surely do better at evening the wage gap in Norway, but heck, even people who end up homeless here have it FAR BETTER than America's working class.
They also always talk about their supposed "freedoms" and "rights" in America.. you sure you're really that free? It doesn't seem like it. We have far greater rights and freedoms here in Norway. Our socialism have GIVEN us MORE rights and freedoms, not the opposite.

It can't be too far in the future.. I mean.. he's not just old, especially considering the average low lifespan of American males compared to the rest of the developed world. He's also in terrible shape, including being obese. He's also said, stupidly enough that "excercise shortens your life span, because you use up your energy faster" (obvs paraphrazing here) - as if we only have a certain amount of breaths or something, and movement uses that up faster.. it's impossible to explain something so terribly illogical lol. Like, T-bag Dump, humans are not a jar of peanut butter or a can of diet pepsi that "dies" once it's empty. Humans don't work that way. I can't believe someone could be THAT stupid, but here we are.
He's also faced more and more stress due to losing the election and such, and high blood pressure for people like him is NOT good.
So, taking everything into account, it wouldn't surprise me if he were to drop dead soon - whatever "soon" means. It can't be many years at all.

@rodneybever9583 You're still safer with a mask (for your own sake) than without one. Add a shield that covers at least the eyes as well, and you're even better protected. Even a pair of (big) glasses can help. Sure, it doesn't eliminate the risk entirely, BUT it ABSOLUTELY helps more than nothing.
We know this for a fact. That's why all kinds of coverings, including plexiglasses in stores etc. (the same way subway for instance uses sneeze quards over their sub ingrediens). Literally anything that covers you from breathing in all the particles that otherwise roams around in the air, or if anyone were to sneeze/cough close to you/in your direction helps. Does it provide 100% protection? No, you need a hazmat suit for that. COMPLETE medical grade covering. Still, just because it's not 100% effective (although it ABSOLUTELY works WONDERS like you sort of imply, if EVERYONE, or at least the very mast majority wears masks as well), doesn't mean it's not efficient. Same exact principle as wearing a seatbelt. Sure, it won't ever protect you 100%, the protection provided DEPENDS on circumstantial factors, but just because something is not a complete guarantee for total success, doesn't mean it's not incredibly valueable and don't work - because it does.
It all boils down to listening to the science and executing it, as a way to increase your chances at preventing as much injury/harm/sickness/death as possible.

So if one person you like commits murder, you'll defend them by pointing at someone you don't like claiming they committed murder, regardless if that other person you don't like did it or not, you're saying the person you like who committed murder shouldn't face any consequences simply because someone else did it? You don't even care about the truth or any facts, you just deflect, and conveniently accuse those people you don't like of doing the exact same thing as someone you do like, despite the tons upon tons of evidence proving that the person you like committed murder, and the absolute zero evidence of the person you happen to not like committing murder..?¿ It just doesn't make ANY sense. That's not how it works. Whatabout-ism is such a stupid right wing-talking point, thinking you're sooo clever. Gosh, NO.
So you're saying it's terrible if your "enemy" does it, but it's toooootally fine if your daddy did it.. because... logic. Got it. Get lost, fool.
Someone else's state of criminality or non-criminality have nothing to do with the person in focus of one case, you nutjob.

He's just a fraud. "He can handle money".. lol what? Someone going BANKRUPT 6 TIMES IS NOT GOOD WITH MONEY. He's just a scammy grifter. ALL he did as "prez" was give a tax cut to the richest and put in corporate goons wanting to end democracy and bow down to corporate overlords, as well as killing over half a million people with his complete negliegence. He tried to overthrow democracy- THANKFULLY he's too dumb to actually do so, or anything else. He's not even literate. Can't read. He's a failed traitor and scam artist.
Getting money OUT of politics is the way forward, that's essential. Politicians speak for their corporate donors, not the people.. just true progressives who refuse those big donors, like Bernie, Bowman and The Squad speak for the people, as they are not bought by corporations.
We don't need even more, fake or not, millionaires or billionaires in public office, OF COURSE they'll only serve their own wealth interests, not the people. Get it in your head, ignorant fool.

This somehow never seizes to amaze me..
As a Norwegian (hell yeah, democratic socialism providing free healthcare and bans guns/heavily regulate other potential weapons to actually protect each citizen.. yet somehow we are not "pro-life", but corporate bought politicians refusing to even offer practically any basic care towards children, who likely was unplanned, thus not recieving of proper measures to optimalize it's health, being born into a system that charges your literal birth and everything else insane amounts, whilst ending up food insecure/homeless/worse, those people causing that.. are the "pro-life" ones? Shhhhhesh, gtfo, nonsensical.. people (monsters or smthn sounds more correct tbh).
I've been following American politics and state of affairs in general for a fair amount of years now (because unlike many/most americans.. the rest of us actually acknowledge the importance of staying at least generally updated on other countries, esp in a global pandemic, where soooo much craziness is going on, knowing far too well the massive influence America have internationally.. I've figured caring about anyone outside "their own" isn't really of any importance at all, and that it's a miracle if they know what's going on nationally, or even state-wise/locally at all, so..yup. There's been far too many times where americans have been outraged at me or other non-americans for that matter, simply for weighing in on american politics - despite just how much America LOVES to mess around in and with other countries, lol. America surely is the land of hypocracy, NOT the free! Unless you're a massive corporation tho, then you're certainly both hypocritical AND free, because "yay, hurray for corruption!!", smfh).
It's just crazy to me just the level of corruption taking place, barely facing any scrutony at all. I'm certainly aware that as a Norwegian I'm incredibly lucky and privileged simply by virtue of me randomly being born and raised here, but.. everything you guys view as "extremist, radical, progressive leftist" or whatever is just a given here.. like healthcare, abortion rights/atonomy rights in general, wellfare programs to anyone in need, no matter employment history, background etc., as well as housing benefits being incredibly common and considered yet another basic necessity met for those in need of rental help, how few homeless people we actually have, and those among us who've faced homelessness usually easily gets aid and a spot at high standard shelters, given help to get into actual properties as actual renters, whether we rent communal/from the state, the same state that gives us money for rent, food, bills, etc., or by private lenders, tho still funded/aided by the state as much as necessary, the list goes on and on.
No, we're far from "lazy", we just believe in both that all people matter and deserves at least having their basic needs met, as well as believing in investing in the people, instead of corporations and such, being the most valueable investment we make. By investing in even the most poor, the economy will be stimulated anyway as those funds will go back into society.. because.. of course it does (sure, some tiny fraction might be lost by dealing in the black market, like with drugs for instance, but that percentage is really insignificant, and we end up boosting our overall economy anyway), so that's a simple win-win for both people and the government and businesses, and we hold the same kind of principle when it comes to both education and healthcare, making it (almost enitrely) free and accessable to everyone is something we all benefit from. It's not about "handouts" and all that stupid stuff made as ignorant "arguments" from people blinded by capitalism and corruption, socialistic democracy truly works in PEOPLE'S favour, it's also ofc a good and extremely important point to male that it's by far the most humanitarian way of governence thus far, it just simply works as intended.
Sure, there are tons of things we can improve, not everything works wonders, which is just a reality and fact that can be applied to most things, but c'mon. That's just a caviat to democracy, nothing will ever be "perfect" as it's run by people, and no person is "perfect", and that's just the way it naturally works. What's good for us tho, an actual democracy that's not corrupt and bought, will constantly improve as both the world and people evolve, so naturally our democracy evolves with us. Our politicians have to do actual hard work and legitimately and noticeably improve our policies, as several parties have to work together, and we have many parties competing for their seats, it's not just a given that you'll keep your seat, due to a failed two-party system, rigging and gerrymandering like you guys have in America.
Nope, compared to American standards, even our most right leaning politicians are progressive, because they have to in order to stay in the game.
Look.. I know I'm really praising our system as if it was some kind of utopia, which it most certainly isn't - there's always tons to be done, and there's always loads of policies and such that are flat out bad and all that. Absolutely. It's just.. listening to just how corrupt, damaged and ineffective American "democracy" is, I just can't help but really appreciate how we do things, our values and principles. It's just not right at all when you're among the richest of the richest countries. It's in no way right or okay, and it certainly isn't a truly free or democratic country at all. There are several third world/developing countries I'd want to go to before America. America simply isn't safe enough.
My goodness.. I can't say I have much hope, but I certainly wish that the US will severly change, and actually live up to it's so-called "ideals" you claim to live and stand by. It's not like you haven't got the means and resources, 'cuz you really do have plenty. That's partly why it's so frustrating, I guess. Knowing how great America actually could be, but have had that opportunity denied due to greedy politicians and corporations.
It's one thing to not have the resources and not being able, it's just so different when the resources are in fact there, just not at all in the right hands of anyone.
Your greed isn't just ruining you either.. many of your actions have global effects, like easily seen with global warming and the management of covid (and it's vaccines, ffs). You could've been a world ideal, an actual "superpower"-natiom, but you chose evil instead, bringing rest of the entire globe down with you. Ughh. Be better, please.

@showmytime9177 It's better to have a system that guarantees health care for everyone. Same access and quality for everyone, regardless of social and work-status. I mean, it's not like Americans don't pay taxes. So.. what's your point?
It costs us all who do have universal healthcare LESS than it does for Americans who have to rely on a complicated, money-grabbing system, where your insurance (which millions don't even have) is HELLA EXPENSIVE, same with your drugs.
Your statement that in countries with universal healthcare, that you have to work in order to get said healthcare is NOT TRUE. Stop being ignorant. EVERYONE, EXCEPT THE WEALTHIEST CORPORATIONS SAVE TONS UPON TONS OF MONEY BY HAVING UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE.
Having basic human needs met is a human right, and that includes healthcare.
America just prioritize giving massive tax cuts and benefits to the wealthiest people and corporations, while absolutely CRUSHING the workers who get paid far too little. America would rather tax the most poor, and make sure to keep them poor, make them even more poor and ensure that as many people as possible both become and stay poor.
You could EASILY have GREAT HEALTHCARE, infrastructure +++++ by JUST TAXING THE WEALTHY PEOPLE, instead of allowing them to pay ZERO, or close to zero. It's inhumane and makes NO SENSE that someone who WORKS, yet barely can afford rent and food pay MORE in taxes that only benefit the rich anyway, while the most wealthy who have too much money to even be able to spend in a lifetime, contribute NOTHING to taxes. YOU don't make any sense, smh.

Uhhmm.. that's absolutely offensive, your example for instance is just.. effing weird tbh. Then you're using the term explicitly to needlessly stereotype some people, knowingly using it as a slur, since you're only using that word to referr to people who behaves in "certain ways".. it's just. Nah. I mean, why the need to judge people for such anyway? We have way bigger issues to focus on.
But, now knowing that it's just offensive, why not just stop using it to tear people down, or do we just feel some kind of hard need to judge anything, anyone, everything, everyone consistently for whatever reason? Idk.
It's unnessecary and unconstructive, and when you know better you should do better, especially instead of continuing to use and defend what you know is derogatory.
Then there's just this endless culture war-thing that gets pinned on mostly progressive democrats by the opposition as the only thing we care about, instead of focusing on all kinds of other real, pressing issues that people actually care about, decieving voters to think that progressive dems/libs won't focus on the typical, tho obivious substances like creating jobs + better wages, healthcare, housing, while that's actually exactly what truly drives the progressive movement. Actual substances that really make huge differences in our day to day-life.
So focus on the important matters, but realize that it's super easy to not degrade people as well. It's not hard.

@Brian Shoo Since you wanna play whatabout-ism, how about all the people police ENTIRELY UNJUSTLY MURDER ALL THE TIME? The actual CAUSE of PEACEFUL PROTESTS by BLM, which is their FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHT? Yet police and moronically racist, hypocritical and blood thirsty red wingers see absolutely no problem with DRIVING OVER PEACEFUL PROTESTORS, shooting them, beating them up, brutalizing them in all kinds of ways?
Stfu. There is NO comparison between BLM's JUSTIFIED AND EXTREMELY LEGAL protests and the Jan. 6th INSURRECTION. ABSOLUTELY NO COMPARISON AT ALL.
You simply "support" the police when it's CONVENIENT to your hatred bubble. When it's not, all of a sudden you don't support the police, despite getting crushed, killed and brutalized by right wingers who couldn't accept THAT THEY LOST AN ELECTION FAIR AND SQUARE. THAT'S IT.
So just stop it, idiot.

I have a cat, who before sterilization could become QUITE vicious. I mean, if you're a young kid, sure. I get it. I've gotten some terrible scratches, and cats are often underestimated. For sure. Still.. I've NEVER been afraid for either myself OR my cat actually getting hurt, even when he used to get these testo-filled "outbreaks" or whatever. I ALWAYS managed to fairly quickly restrain him without hurting him or myself (besides some scratches - never much, tho).
Don't get me wrong, my cat is LOVELY and have always been, as well as cuddly and cute most of the time. There was just a few times here and there he'd "lose it", and started "attacking" and becoming "vicious" in response. He was just too frustrated at times due to the testosterone and not having a female cat to mate with, lol. So nothing "bad" ever went on, causing him to behave like that at times.
So.. sure, they can absolutely do SOME damage, and A LOT of damage to especially toddlers, if the cat isn't used to toddlers and being a bit "manhandled", as toddlers just do. That's just how it goes with toddler vs. any animal. I'm jist saying.. it doesn't take much to get control over a cat, as long as you have some idea over how cats function and such.
Thankfully. . there's generally NEVER ANY REASON to fight ANY pet or wild animal (unless you stumble upon some wild animal and are FORCED to fight for self defense - usually you're better off just running away anyway). Just don't fight animals.

Hell, I'm Norwegian (part of the three Scandinavian countries - we're all independent and have been for ages upon ages, but we're lumped together as one on the world stage.. oh well, Sweden and Denmark are cool, so I don't mind! But.. Norway's the best, tho. We just are).
What Ana's saying is absolutely correct.
I personally have been unfortunate enough in my still very young life (still just 23 y/o) to have been homeless for some years, beginning at the age of just 16 y/o. So, surely more than enough childhood trauma from both before and after that. By that point, you bet I was already addicted to drugs. I grew up in one of the poorest areas, and my family surely didn't have any resources. There weren't too much in our community generally either, so nothing really to lean in if in need. Hence the situation I found myself in.
I ended up in worse and worse crowds, experiencing worse and worse trauma, becoming more and more drug addicted. People around me practically just waited to get "the call", if you know what I mean. So it was absolutely terrible.
You know what eased the burden on not just myself personally, but on our community's resources and crime rates? The fact that our government cares for every single person enough to allow them some shreds of dignity, in other words money. It wasn't much, but it made sure, along with other programs, that I could eat at all, and not have to steal and such (aka.. become a worse criminal than being a drug addict stupidly is considered), in order to feed my habits. I also had the possibility of getting any kind of health care, both mental and physical. I could also spend days and nights at shelters for safety and hygiene.
These things not only ensured my own personal health and wellbeing despite the terrible situation I found myself in, it also highly eased the burden the rest of the community would face by myself, along with the rest of people in similar situations just trying to survive, by doing criminal activities affecting others. It ensures literally everyone. It's not that people never get robbed or such, it's rather that the chances of that happening being decreased as much as possible. We, the poor people, weren't made desperate enough to have to rob innocent people, just going about their day. Ensuring our safety immidiatly ensured the rest's safety. Basically, we logically decided to do the math and follow simple logic. We'd all much more preferr our tax dollars going into investing in the most poor and unfortunate among us, instead of investing in beefing up the police and other "after the fact"-measures. We understand that investing in people's dignity despite their background would be of much greater benefit to literally everyone, than investing in stupid and unnessecary police and law enforcement tactics and equipment. We would much rather prevent that need for beefed up security in the first place. We know that investing in prevention takes everyone so much further, and ensures everyone's safety so much more.. not to mention, it's just way more humane and dignified. It's not exactly motivating for anyone to try to re-enter regular society when society's been nothing but cruel and ruthless to you.
Because of these ideals and this humane logic, we barely have that much crime at all. Sure, getting rid of crime 100% will always be literally impossible, but we've incentivised being a law-obiding citizen much more over being a criminal. This kind of crime policy has made sure that we're all, regardless of social status, a safe and welcoming society, not ridden with crime (especially regarding violent, gang, and street-associated crimes).
It just works way better for everyone, and it's good economics as well.
I grew up in what was for a very long time considered part of Norway's worst places (in terms of poverty, crime etc.). We surely had our right wing politicians bring up similar talking points to the US' right wing, but thankfully the overruling political opinion over how to deal with this specific area landed on left wing ideals, which was to continue our high standards in terms of treating the population. We ended up with this massive investment involving a decade long plan to invest from the bottom up in that area. We helped people by literally increasing wellfare, massive infrastructure investments including massive human infrastructure, all of this and much more. We decided that a helping hand would be of greater benefit and interest to the entire country, instead of continue punishing people for being poor and having unfortunate and unprivileged conditions. That absolutely massive investment ended up turning this area (where I still live!) into the place in our city, Oslo (which is the capitol of Norway, yes) into becoming the place with the least crime rates. Funny how that worked, huhh. It both made this area one of the most attractive places to live, pushing up property values massively, without forcing those of us who already lived here in it's poor times out, due to our government ensuring that not only the values of the properties going up, but people wages and wellfare as well to match the increase in property values, so us "OG's" weren't pushed out of our community and homes due to the inflation.
Now THIS is how you do politics. This is how you treat people. This is just what's right and humane. Our government and our society at large seeing literally every single person's individual value is what makes us incredible. We don't see helping people and investing in people as a burden at all, we see it as an obligation we all have towards each other, and joyfully so. We're happy to know that we spend our tax dollars to even out inequality, to better the lives of our neighbours, children, elders and community at large, in health and education etc. - not in cruel and unnessecary wars, unnessecary police enforcement and all those kinds of wasteful "investments", which we know don't work. No. We're much more focused on what actually matters, and fixing the root problems, instead of constantly wasting money and time just treating the "symptoms". We got it right. There's a reason we're one of the wealthiest AND happiest nations on earth, which we have been for the longest time. Take notes, people. Actually learn something.. and stay kind, care abour your neighbour and community. We'll all be doomed if we let personal greed be the ruling force.

I've had to fight off people with weapons like a machete and like 4 damn cops at the same time while having close to no physical (upper body) strength, both these situations happened as a 'fight, freeze or fight'-situation so it was pure instinct, so I like to think that I'd absolutely would do just about anything to save my pets (a cat and a dog - who are both quite savvy themselves lol, despite them looking like totally adorable plush animals! My cat is a cute housecat and my dog is a labradoodle, but MAN, they're savvy and skilled af. I watched my dog kill a HUGE bird in less than a millisecond, before I could even react myself, then she just kept on going, wagging her tail as if nothing happened while I just stood there in shock).
Mind you - I don't deal with armed police, we don't use guns where I'm from. They are incredibly skilled tho, in both deescalation (which is always the main goal here) and in fighting, if push comes to shove. So it's not like the cops I fought "on accident" were unskilled, because our cops are HIGHLY skilled and professional, so our cops are trusted and highly appreciated in my country, and they deserve that respect.. they're absolutely great, and ACTUALLY serve and protectthe people (I wasn't in a normal state of mind, I'm NOT a violent person AT ALL, it was just all around a bad situation where I was scared and thought I was going to get beat up by a gang or so, while the police actually just began wanting to help me, a young girl out in the middle of the night alone in one of the most dangerous, crime infested places in my country.. so it was all just a bad situation where neither I or them meant any harm. I was charged with assault obvs, but the charges were dropped during trial due to the specific circumstances and my background/history).
So anyway, yeah. I absolutely think my brain would just 'shut off' like in previous instances, and that my adrenaline would take over to protect my pups, my babies. I once had to grab another both large, muscular strong dog off of my dog when she was just a tiny puppy, because that dog was loose, attacking my baby, with the owner doing nothing about it - so after for just trying to shield my dog while screaming and cussing out the owner at the top of my lungs for her to get her damn dog away from my LITERAL baby, I immidiatly just grabbed that monster dog and THREW IT as far away as possible. I hated having to do that, which is why I to begin with (very briefly) trying to protect mine and get the other dumb owner to take care of her dog as the last thing I want is to harm another animal/pet/dog specifically in this instance, but hell, come for my baby, prepare for the worst. It's just like how I'd rather protect a loved one (human) over a stranger, obvs.
The dog was thankfully fine, just quite shaken.. I mean, I did have to grab it forcefully and throw it carelessly away so it could've obvs suffered injuries from that, but hell, it was a grown, extremely muscular bulldog, that landed on grass (thankfully not concrete or smthn, that would've been awful), so it went "fine".
Even after PHYSICALLY HAVING TO FORCEFULLY GRAB AND THROW THAT DOG AWAY QUITE BRUTALLY, the damn owner STILL didn't care about anything, ffs. I fckn cared more about that dog than the owner did.. and that GROWN MUSCLE dog ATTACKED my TINY POODLE BABY. What a TERRIBLE person who should NOT be able to care for ANYONE, neither human or animal. Ughh, no. Too many terrible people out there. I don't get mad at animals for being animals, like that bear - they just do what they're supposed to, following instinct, so there's no foul there. Humans, tho.. ya know.

I mean.. sure, I guess that's possible, but that seems like thinking zebras instead of horses when you're hearing hoofbeats imo lol. I just don't understand why she would drug him to make a quiet man.. quiet? 🤔😅😅
~ Geez, it sounds like I'm taking this way too seriously lol, I promise you I'm not. I just couldn't help myself from interjecting with my analysis.. I've literally rewatched all of "JFC" (for short) aka "JIM CAN'T SWIM,* a YT-channel that breaks down and analyses piece by piece in great detail of criminal cases where the main focus is on criminology and (forensic) psychology during interrogations. He does it so professionally, making it super informative, grim, at times even hilarious, and he's always respectful. The videos tend to be quite long which I find lovely. He does a thourough job editing and putting it all together, where you're both learning a whole lot without at all boring you. I highly recommend his channel to anyone and everyone with an interest in (true) crime/criminology, (forsensic) psychology, the justice system with a high level of insider perspective and more. It's truly great. Nothing at all is fictional, they're all entirely real cases with real footage. He's truly the best one out there, and I'd recommend it to literally everyone, except those 14 y/o tiktoker's with an attention span lasting no more than 5 seconds to perhaps, and I'm dragging it here, 10 minutes. His videos are usually 45min to even 2-3 hours. Only a fraction of his vid's are under 20-30 min, the average length is about 1 1/2 hour, yet due to his excellence, you're simply longing for more, wishing they were way much longer because they truly are interesting and extremely fascinsting to watch in all kinds of ways. He's deserving of way more reckognition on YT than he gets - his videos are popular, perhaps the most popular amongst that uniquely specific subgenre of true crime, but hey.. that awful YT-algorythm snuffing the best true content creators. He doesn't make any single thing about himself, he's never even shown his face - all you notice of him personally is his incredible narration, guidance and perspective as a professional. He keeps it all as real as it gets, it's clear that he's not in it for the noteriety in any way. Highly recommend the channel, again - "JSC", short for "Jim Can't Swim". I couldn't recommend it any more... I know I alrady sound like an agent or a sponsor lol, but no. It's truly just an amazing channel that hooks you in to watch all the videos, leaving you wanting even more so you decide to rewatch them all because you notice something new each time and it never gets boring, and you're constantly desperate for his next upload.
So.. yup. This was not at all intented to become a long tangent about his incredible channel and talent, but it did. What can I say, I mean.. I guess you could call it the JSC-effect, lol. I'm absolutely HOOKED. Sorry not sorry. Go watch it!

@universal1771 Since you wanna play whatabout-ism, how about all the people police ENTIRELY UNJUSTLY MURDER ALL THE TIME?

How damn terrifying.
I'm becoming more and more in love with my homeland, my people, my cops, my social wellfare; practically my actual freedom and liberty. Norway. Good, old Norway.
I once ended up in a fight with two cops, who even had to call for reinforcements. Now mind you, this was and is my first and only arrest. I'm far from violent at all. Even just verbal altercations can feel absolutely horrifying to me.
I do suffer from severe trauma/PTSD from both child- and adulthood, including r*pe and kidnapping. Beatings.
I became homeless at just 16, and got addicted to the hardest of the hard drugs very fast. I was in and out of the streets, shelters, institutions, hospitals, random people's couches, and continued on like this for several years.
The time I ended up in a police fight, I was homeless and in a terrible condition. No food or sleep for days. Just a 'miracolously not dead'- person on tons of drugs. I never did drugs for fun, I was just completely addicted and in much more of an unconcious/zombie-like state.
I barely have any memory from the incident at all, though my suboncious memory apparantly got refreshed after going to court almost a year later or so. Apparantly, they'd (the police) saw me out in the middle of the night in a very bad area, and they came up to me to both see if I was okay and to do a drug search (yes, sometimes our police (who btw only carry pepperspray for defense, nothing else) comes up to us to literally just talk and see if we're okay). I apparantly started hitting, punching, spitting and kicking away when one of them just touched my shoulder to get contact, since I didn't respond verbally. That must've caused an automatic, subconcious trauma-defense in me as it must've really startled me, causing me to flashback and completely panic, hence the fight erupting. I still can't remember any of it, not even being at the arrest cell for a day.
Anyways.. I've gotten help and is recovering from all the past trauma and drug addiction. I have my own, very nice and large two bedroom flat, granted to me by the city, basically. A crucial part of our wellfare. I take goodd care of both a dog and a cat, so life is much better now, to say the least.
All I recieved as punishment tho was to serve community service (120 hours by 45 days), where I served as a cashier in a charity shop. It was quite nice, tbh.
So. .yup. I think I'll just stay here in Norway, with our kind cops and socialism. With my freedom and a community that (for the most part) cares for one another, no matter who we are or where life's taken us.
America, you ain't the "land of the free", smdh. You've never been.

You're still safer with a mask (for your own sake) than without one.
