I don't blame men either, but he knows very well as well the potential risks. NO ONE blames males for getting females pregnant, but people seem to put the responsibilty on ONLY the woman, not both parties. That's wrong. It's no ones "fault", unless it's rape it's a concious, consensual decicion between both parties. Females don't get preggo on their own, you know 🙂 Yes, the woman chose to get in bed. So did the man. No one is to "blame" for this.

If the woman is unable to consent due to being too drunk but the man isn't really that drunk and still knows what is going on, the fault is on the male. It all depends. To your second example. You're absolutely right that if you consent at first but then withdraw consent (which you can do WHENEVER), if the man respects that that's not rape. If he doesn't, it sure is rape. Although if she regrets whatever in the middle of it without giving any signs she's uncomfortable then that's regrettable, but I wouldn't call that rape. You just have to remember that you don't have to articulate a "no", "stop" or smthn but are still making signs she's uncomfortable, that CAN be considered rape. If you're not certain your partner is consenting to what you may be doing, just ask. It's not awkward to communicate during sex. It's better to be 100% certain than not.

  11. Ugh, ffs yes. F*ck that!! That's the worst, most insensitive thing you can say to someone who's been assaulted, especially sexually. It's just so wrong. I understand that she said it with good intentions, I'll give her that, but it's careless, ignorant and rude to say such things. It's just not okay at all. As someone who has been assaulted in several different ways many times, including two sexual assaults (r*pe), once by a childhood/teenage years-"friend" and he second happened just a couple of months after turning 18, where the abuser was 44 years old. Gross af. I've had way too many people day the exact same thing to me. "It happened for a reason".. excuse me!?!? Absolutely not. There was no reason what so ever for that to happen. For me to be taken advantage of. For me to be so severly violated. Literally the only "reason" these CRIMES happen, is because the abuser is a messed up, dangerous and bad individual. That's the only reason. Sexual assault is never something you're "supposed to learn and grow from". No way. Stop excusing these horrible monsters. They're violent criminals. They're not "sent" by anyone as a damn "lesson". They're just sick and disturbed individuals who wants to feel powerful and in charge. They're reckless and selfish. Sure, like this young woman in the video said, she did grow from that experience, but that's only because you're forced to grow after such abuse. There's no valueable lesson from it. It beats you down, leaving you forced to either try to find some, any, whatever silver lining there may be, or stay down. The better option is to try to find a silver lining, but that's in no way the same as it "happening for a reason". That silver lining you desperately try to find is not "the reason" for it happening in the first place. Saying that line is simply excusing the abuser's behaviour while downgrading someone's (the victim's) personal trauma. It's degrading and devaluing. It's not taking it seriously. It's victim blaming. It's disgusting and wrong. Although I've obiviously have had to try to turn my traumatic experiences around, in order for me to keep going in life, not allowing the abuser to keep me down even without him present, I wish none of the abuse ever happened. I'd be so much better off without those experiences. Those sexual assaults ruined so many years in my life, I've had to deal with severe post traumatic stress disorder and will continue to do so for years. Having to deal with constant reoccurring nightmares, trust issues, sexual- and relationship issues, low self worth, depression and so much more is not something to consider a "lesson" or a silver lining. People seriously need to stop saying this to sexual assault survivors. You're only degrading us and the severity of our experiences. You're only continuing to excuse this kind of destructive behaviour. Saying "it happened for a reason" is just the same as saying we deserve to suffer.

  18. Fr tho, DAAAAMN. She must have lived an INCREDIBLY sheltered and tbh TOO SAFE life. I just mean that OBIVIOUSLY any reasonable parent(s) would want to safeguard their kid(s) as much as possible, but COMPLETELY sheltering them from real life to the point where that tiny little nothing-burger of a joke/comment made her cry and feel as though her life was in danger, and that the comment wasn't simply a smug-ish comment/joke, but an actual threat.. I mean, goodness me. Obvs just assuming here since none of us knows her life outside of this little clip, but hell, if I was in that room when she started crying over that little piece of nothing, I'd SERIOUSLY struggle to not laugh due to the ridicolousness of it. That comment was NOTHING. If I recieved such a comment, or any other reasonable person recieved that comment, at most the reaction would be a simple eye roll, perhaps at most a smirky comment back or prob just ignored it.. not cry and feel threatened, even that much later after the comment. I'm incredibly understanding that we all have different tolerance levels, but dear oh dear.. that was something else. Is she a young adult or a literal baby? It seems like she's flown threw life on a field of thorn-free roses in a bed of clouds. I can't imagine being THIS sensitive. Tbh, poor girl. The second real life hits her, and she's no longer surrounded by people who protect her from any opposing opinions, people not giving her whatever she wants etc., aka the REAL WORLD, she's destined to struggle hard af. Overprotective parents and enviroments, growing up with pillows sown all over you and such is cruel. OF COURSE parents are supposed to protect you, but ALSO prepare you for the next stages of life so that they're prepared for the stages in life we all enter into as we get older and older. I'm truly not sure whether to laugh or cry over that ridicolous statement.. it's both sad when you really think about it, but it's also extremely hilarious; ESP when the dude who literally got STABBED spoke about that right after her crying over quite literally NOTHING. Geeeez... the definition of white girl tears right there.. truly the ultra max version of it as well lol. Goodness me.

I understand that it can be easy to confuse those two as they SEEM very similar. I would love for someone to educate about that so that the discussion could've been way better. It seems like people that doesn't understand this concept simply won't understand the concept of being trans. - A white cis female/woman.

SURE, it's obvs not true all the time with literally every american - OF COURSE NOT - but the US seems to be way more in kind of a nationalist bubble than the rest of the world. This is important. I know "feminist" is off putting for many men as the name sounds exclusive, I get it.
