It truly does bug me when people say they have anxiety when you don't actually have anxiety (disorder). Like sure, everybody gets anxious at times, but disorders take over your life so much more. Same thing with depression. You're not depressed if you feel sad sometimes, depression isn't sadness. The same way everybody gets anxiety some times, people become sad at times. Emotions are fluid and tends to go in waves, like if someone hurts you, you may get sad. If you have a job interview, it's very common to become anxious. Etc. When you struggle with anxiety (disorder) or depression, it becomes irrational. Your body senses fear even when you're as safe as can be (with anxiety), and with depression it doesn't matter "how well" your life may seemingly be going. Also, you're not really sad when your depressed, it's more like a feeling of nothing and hopelessness.
Don't confuse emotions with disorders.
