I get your point but please value yourself. I don't know you, what your work is if you work at all, where you're from or anything. At least I sense some compassion from you, so you seem like a nice person. You could be a douchebag for all I know, but it doesn't seem like it to me at least. If you keep thinking you're unable to bring any value to life and to the world, that's not true. We're all valuable in our own way. I used to think like you. I'm a heavy drug addict, have been homeless a lot, I have criminal charges (nothing too serious, just stupid stuff that goes along with drug addiction), and I've never had a "real" job. None of this makes me invaluable or a bad person. Thinking so negatively about myself made EVERYTHING worse. I've volunteered a lot in different fields since I was just a young kid. I have a dog and a cat that loves me. I'm in the middle of a short community service sentence where I help my own community service centre, so I'm directly giving back to people that have helped me a ton. Yes, community service is obiviously something I'm forced to do, but still. I would much rather participate and help other struggling people like myself than choose a much shorter sentence in a Norwegian prison.. and let me tell you, Norwegian prisons and jails are super respectful with a much better emphasis on rehabilitation instead of punishment (we believe the punishment is the loss of freedom itself, not in getting punished in prison. Our prisons are not private, they're public aka paid for by the government. So obiviously, our prisons wants to rehabilitate instead of punishing people, in order for us to have a much better chance at not having to return to prison, because no one profits by crime like they do where prisons are private BUSINESSES). So for me it's almost like prison would be selfish, considering I got the choice between prison for 21 days or community service for much longer. So even as me technically being a criminal, I still add much needed value; because I was lucky enough to get that chance.
That just goes to show that anyone can be highly valuable. Find something you enjoy doing, and that alone could be extremely valuable. No one can save the world alone, but the more people that try to do something good, the better it gets for everyone. I'm sure you have people that love you, and that alone is more than valuable. There is so much one can do to feel valuable. It doesn't have to be something obivios like being a health care professional or something like that, you can absolutely find value in just about everything. If I didn't believe in myself at all, I would never be able to achieve everything I have achieved. Please, don't put yourself down. You have value.
