  26.  @blitzballrusher4993  Fairly true, but practically excusing the repukelikkkunts isn't okay either. They're passing SO MANY laws to ensure the elections are always rigged in their favour. That isn't new either. They've had the odds heavily stacked in their favour for extremely long, and they never win by popular vote - aka actually democratically. If the system wasn't entirely rigged in their favour, they wouldn't keep or gain any power. Repukelikkkunts ARE the MINORITY big time. Now with that being said, I do really wish the democratic party was a lot stronger and willing to fight for what they campaign on, and what their voters and majority of the population wants. I also really, really wish they wouldn't self sabotage all the time by doing everything in their power to block and discredit progressives. They pretend to be in favour for progressive policies because they KNOW that's what actually is most popular among the incredible vast majority of voters, but completely backpeddals when push comes to show. You can thank corruption for that, as well as corporate media giving them lip service - just like the literal entirety of the repukelikkkunts are corrupt. The entirety of the repukelikkkunt party is heavily corrupt and are working for themselves, their greed, lust for power, and their big corporate donors. Same goes for MOST, but not all of the democratic party - except for PROGRESSIVES. Who are THE ONLY ONES fighting FOR THE PEOPLE, and against corporate interests. These corrupt mofo's don't want any of that - they'll kill democracy if they must to stay in absolute power and be wealthier than most people can't even fathom, no matter the costs to the people or the planet. It's pure, selfish greed. Now, the repukelikkkunts ARE WORSE. They're FAR, FAR WORSE due to their dangerous, racist, bigoted, sexist, xenophobic, pro-war and nationalist views determining their policies IN ADDITION to the blatant corruption controlling their ENTIRE PARTY. At least there's a growing movement of progressives taking more and more space in the democratic party, who are able to flex that muscle more and more instead of constantly being forced by the corporates from both within the democratic party, the media AND the opposition to bend the knee. At least democrats aren't ACTIVELY trying to kill democracy - they could surely do HELLA LOT MORE to STRENGTHEN democracy than they are, but they're at least not ACTIVELY legislating democracy's death. Oh and also of course, same can be said about reproductive rights. The repukelikkkunts are becoming more and more blatant and autocratic by the day, and dangerously so - obiviously. Letting repukelikkkunts win is NOT an option. They're truly anti-democracy, and shamelessly so. They're not even trying to hide it anymore, as they've done FOR YEARS.

  34.  @dontmindme633  The American prison system is so extremely corrupt, holy damn.. I just can't. (Not to rub it in anyone's faces, but) I'm born and raised, still living here in Oslo, Norway. Many people are aware of how our prison systems work (key word: work - because they actually work). We're ranked to have one of the absolute BEST prisons. Prison is still prison so it will never be a luxury, of course. Still, we believe in human rights regardless of their past and wrongdoings, regardless of the crime. We believe that the punishment is having to serve time and losing your freedom, not in prisons actually serving punishment beyond taking away their freedom. Depending on what type of facility you're in (maximum security, lower grade security and such), you'll have it really good, actually. Most cells even have TV's and proper furniture. Our cells looks for the most part like institutions, not just pure cells. Usually the guards and the inmates gets close to each other, playing cards, board games, watch TV together and stuff like that. Kind of similar to drug rehabilitation facilities/other treatment facilities of high standards. The focus on actual rehabilitation is the main focus, and it works. We have among the best rates when it comes to rehabilitation, which truly is the most important. Most people here who serve one sentence only serves that one sentence. It's very rare to get the revolving door "syndrome". Some people, many people think our prisons are too "good". Many think most prisoners don't deserve all they get. Our prisoners not only gets good facilities with work and/or education oppurtunities along with psychological and medical help for free, they get income provided by the government. Their prison grocery stores doesn't have inflated prizes, they're just the same as regular grocery stores. All of our prisons are public, nothing about the criminal sector here is privatized at all. No one is making a profit, so it's good for everyone in the entire country to provide proper rehabilitation, to make it as little likely as possible for people to get reincarcerated. We also have several programs solely designed to help ex-prisoners to get on their feet again, with trying to ensure work, housing and all things necessary to prevent new ex-prisoners from reoffending out of desperation (like preventing them from having to rob someone for survival money etc.). Some people may think our prisoners gets too much, but considering our extremely high success rates it's very beneficial to literally everyone. The goal should be to prevent crime, right? That's what we're doing. I've personally had to send someone to prison. Well, I didn't personally actually technically send someone to prison, but I managed to win a case where the offender ended up in prison (thankfully - he was as vile as they can get). I struggled a lot with coping with the knowledge of how good I knew he'd be treated in prison, obiviously. After what he did to me, he deserves to get tortured and burned. Seriously. It was extremely hard for a long time, especially knowing that while the person that took so much from me and hurt me in so many ways, causing me severe trauma and disability had a nice room, good food and a proper bed to sleep on, I was homeless with nothing to my name. Nothing. There's no wonder why I, or anyone elde would find that to be appaling and extremely unfair. Although it was unfair that I got just about no help except a tiny amount of wellfare money to live off of while being sick on the street, that's another issue not really connected. I later on, after finally getting better aid and an apartment, found peace with what I at first found to be extremely unjust. Despite me wishing nothing but the worst on him, I'm still extremely appreciative of our prison system. Although it is extremely hard to swallow, I know it's in the best interest of everyone that our prisoners get treated with respect and decensy. I'm thankful that yes, even him, who in my eyes is the worst human on earth, gets proper rehabilitation. It's not about what he deserves, it's about what the rest of us deserve. That's the important thing to think about. We don't help and treat our prisoners as well as we do for them, we do it for us. We do it to make the lives of everyday people safer. We don't want innocent people getting hurt, and that's exactly why we think it's important to have the kind of prisons as we have. It's not to benefit the criminal. It's done like this for us, the entire nation. What we do works. Not saying it's perfect or that nobody ends up reoffending however many times it may be, but it actually works. Our success rate is so much higher than at least most of the rest of the world, possibly even the best in the world (I'm not sure how good ranking we have compared to all other nations, but I do know we're among the best, most likely if not on the very top, we're at least among the top five). America, you have too much to improve. You wanting to call yourself "the best nation on earth" is just silly, grandiose, narcissistic and ignorant. Seriously. Your fasade may be good, but it doesn't take long to notice the tons of injustuces and (to put it mildly), flaws. I hope that one day, you'll achieve the right to call yourself the best. The entire globe would benefit from that, considering your massive influence globally. Get yourself together. I know most of you americans wants to fight for the better and are working tirelessly towards that, don't get me wrong. Please, all of you good humans out there, continue the good fight for a thriving democracy and prosperity. Please. We all need you. We want and need you to succeed. Thank you for reading everything if you did. Stay happy and healthy, everyone! 🌸🖤🌸🍃

  39.  @Fly2kill1  Uhm, no. People who blindly follow anyone regardless of their standing or title is moronic. The thing is, NOBODY has said the entire democratic party is good. But just because we don't like EVERYTHING the democrats do, does that mean we should then instead turn around, then do the EXACT same thing you're accusing democratic voters of doing, but just for repukeliKKKans instead? There's literally SO MANY repukeliKKKans who says point blanc that they vote for whoever it might be, as long as it's not a democrat. Most repukeliKKKans think that as long as their name is associated with an R, they're deserving of a vote. Talk about throwing rocks in a glass house. I'm liberal and EXTREMELY disappointed about 15 dollar minimum wage not being included in the package. I sure do hope they'll get back to that ASAP. Still, unlike the repukeliKKKans actually found a way to deliver a new stimulus package to the public which is DESPERATLY needed. All repukeliKKKans have tried to do is to BLOCK IT. That's all repukeliKKKans are doing. WHENEVER the bill is democratic, they block it. Remember that McConnell HIMSELF called himself the grim reaper (as in he'll kill every bill the democrats come up with). That's what happens all the time. Democrats try to pass something FOR THE PEOPLE, while repukeliKKKans try to either completely block it or slim it down severly, only to then complain that "the democrats failed the people". All you do is argue, you have no valid points. Just like the repukeliKKKan party is all talk, no actual helpful actions (unless you're ultra rich). They don't stand for anything other than being on the opposite side og the democratic party. That's all they do. Why would we want such people to have control? People who only deflect and blame everyone else for their own wrong doings, while taking credit for other people's work? Ask yourself why T and his cult members didn't get anything done with regards to covid for over a year (except make things worse by spreading misinformation, blocking stimulus checks, politisizing masks etc.), while democrats have managed after not even two months to prop up vaccine distribution to make it so that each american adult not only gets the vaccine, but have sped it up to a point where the pandemic can get resolved WAY EARLIER than expected and managed to get to rival companies to work together so that the J&J vaccine could come faster. All that came out from the former administration was lies, deceit and propaganda. Now, after just a few weeks, the new administration has managed a lot more already than what the former administration managed over a whole year. Remember that it was the T administration that did NOTHING but make things worse as countless numbers of people died and that it is the democratic, Biden administration that made sure to hault this pandemic as soon as physically possible. Look at every other country on earth and their numbers. Everyone has managed this better than the States. Compotent government saves lives. Incompotent governments stands back and watch people die. Remember that it's been the repukeliKKKans who's called this virus a "hoax" and did NOTHING to help, not the other side.
