@ivybee347 Exactly!!! People fail to realize that if they don't step up for other people's rights, even if it doesn't affect them personally - who will be left to stand up for their rights, when their rights are in danger? People are too selfish these days. They only care when it directly affects them, not even realizing that if we don't fight for EACH OTHER, we ALL lose. People seem to have forgotten the saying that (I can't remember it entirely correctly, but..) "I may never agree with your belief, but I will die defending your right to excersise your right to hold those beliefs'.. it's a great saying, I hate that I don't correctly remember it, as it's such a great saying. There's also this saying about "first they came for women's rights, but I didn't speak up. Then they came for lgbtq+ rights, but I didn't speak up. Then they came for poc-rights, but I didn't speak up (then it goes on and on with different examples, you get the drift). Then they came for my rights, but then nobody even could speak up for my rights." Again, I'm totally not doing that saying justice either, I'm again really paraphrazing, but you get it. People REALLY need to understand this. We need to fight for EVERYBODY'S RIGHTS, not just the rights that directly affects us.

@thebtchthathikes1008 Wth? So you're okay with CHILDREN getting raped, because their parents were bad? Or.. what? I sincerely do not understand your argument. Children do get raped. That is terrible enough. Why then, ON TOP OF THAT, not protect them further? Why potentially victimize and traumatize them YET AGAIN by FORCING THEM to carry out a pregnancy? That's indefensable. So that CHILD should hsve to potentially RISK THEIR LIVES for another ZYGOTE or FETUS aka NOT EVEN AN ACTUAL CHILD/BABY they had NO CHOICE OR PARTICIPATION in creating? So a clump of non-viable cells is more important to you than actually living, breathing CHILDREN (and adults, for that matter, but esp CHILDREN)? YOU. ARE. INSANE.

@ShieAyla Totally!!! People need to WAKE UP to this grand injustice. This abortion ban sets precedents for a whole host of other rights to be scaled back or completely gutted.

@thebtchthathikes1008 .... so you are completely unaware of just how many children are sexually abused, violated and raped on a regular basis? Often times BY FAMILY? In these situations, having a parent/family member/other guardian "watch" you is of NO HELP - that's literally the opposite of protection. Don't pretend as though young children don't experience these things, whether by family, family friends, other people like baby sitters, teachers, WHOMEVER it may be among people the child knows/are familiar with or by complete strangers. It happens WAAAAAY TOO OFTEN.

Always progressives instead of these usual corporate/conservative/"moderate"/"centrist" democrats as well. But surely, if the option is between a repukelikkkunt anda non-progressive democrat, pick the democrat. But again - ALWAYS go for those who vow to never accept ANY corporate pack donations! Which are always, and ONLY progressives. Progressives are the ones who ACTUALLY fight for what they campaign on anyway, the others just lies. They know very well that most of the country support progressive policies, which is why they run on said progressive policies - only to turn around when elected, and do NOTHING to inact those extremely popular policies. You just can't trust those people. You can only trust those who vow to never ever accept any corporate pack donations/LEGAL BRIBES.

@songsayswhat Totally - they're already massively reducing voting rights all over the country, and they'll only make it worse. Not that it'll stop with abortion and voting either, they'll absolutely continue with ANYTHING they don't like. There's no end to their madness.

@Ms.Byrd68 It doesn't matter if it's just one certain religions belief or several religious beliefs, that's still infringing on people's right to freedom of religion. What many people seem to forget, is thst freedom of religion does not ONLY mesn the freedom to practise whatever religion you want, it ALSO means literal freedom FROM religion. That means that religion should never have any say in any laws, and that non-believers won't have to adhere to laws with a basis in religious beliefs. The abortion ban clearly infringes on non-religious people's/atheists'/agnostics' religious freedom-rights. Not that that's the only issue with the Texas abortion ban, that's in no way the main issue, but it's a factor.

O SNOOPY SNOOP #1 Why would it even matter what the bible says? The US is SECULAR, not Christian. So whatever the bible says literally doesn't matter. Also, giving defference at all to any religion when it comes to laws is unconstitutional.. did you forget about religious freedom? If defference and consideration was given to ANY OTHER RELIGION, would you be okay with that? Why is basing laws off of Chridtianity okay, but not Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism or WHATEVER else? Religious freedom isn't just about being able to practise your own religious beliefs without persecution, it's equally as much about not having any religious beliefs imposed on you. It's also about equally respecting people who don't subscribe to any religion/atheists/agnostics. People need to stop arguing whether or not abortion or anything else, sexually related or not, is okay by the bible as it relates to laws. It simply doesn't matter.
