@meoff7602 Absolutely. When people have no other options, they sure as hell will turn to crime. Theft, fraud etc. When people have the oppurtunity to do better, they will. By keeping the poor down, all you're doing is making the rich richer, and the poor even poorer. Investing in the poor and lower middle class equals investing in the good and betterment of and for everyone, from the poor single mother on the corner, to the tiny small business-café, to those on the top. Investing in the poor is an investment in the future for everyone. Having the wage gap only continuing to grow will cause nothing but chaos. More and more people will end up in prison, which serves the rich and corrupt prison owners, allowing the revolving door to continue. This only pushes the poor further down, it causes more and more poor people, while only the ultra rich benefits unfairly af.
America is completely effed up. RepukeliKKKans are doing it on purpose.

@missy6539 Remember that your situation is not everyone else's. Poor people cannot afford to "pack up and move" either. Why would anyone be against allowing poor - low middle class-people contributing to the economy? They work hard af, paying taxes, yet reep no benefits. If these people struggling to even keep an apartment, how can they contribute to the economy? They can't. People also need to eat, have clothes on their backs, beds to sleep on etc. When all your money goes to rent, you will need assistance through governmental programs like medicaid and such. If people actually had enough money to afford to buy their own, everyone benefits. The only winning people right now are the rich people (and upper middle class - not as much as the rich, but still). If we want everyone to have a fair chance, increasing wages is the answer. Then and only then will even the poor be able to move up the latter, decrease their needs of governmentally funded programs etc. Forcing people to stay down, despite working 2-3 jobs, benefits nobody but the ultra rich. They don't need more benefits and tax breaks. Average people are the ones who need a break. If they get a fair break, everyone will have better oppurtunities to move up the latter. The more money people have, the more the economy flourishes. It's simple math. You'd understand that if the schooling system actually worked.
