  2.  @alex35agm  Excuse me, but how do you suggest finding PROOF (not "proov" as you said) of sexual misconduct of any kind? That's really hard in most cases, because these cases usually doesn't have proof. That's what makes it so difficult. In this case, the proof here is more the circumstanses. Not only did someone allege harrassment, the accusations came from WITHIN his own cabinet who have nothing to gain from speaking out. Again, there wasn't only one from within his own admin. who came forward, SEVERAL did. There's no reason for any of these women working for him to step forward. Speaking out is INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT for ANYONE, so if you include all the media attention and scrutiny they knew they would get, speaking up is even more difficult. They have nothing to gain, they in fact only have something to lose. This is incredibly hard to do for victims, it really is. Also, why are people like you more focused on the life of the accused "getting screwed over" than focused on those lives who actually got severly negatively impacted? Why believe men the first time they say they didn't do what's being alleged, but fail to listen to the several people that bring the accusations? It's like you won't accept that sexual assault and harrassment actually happens. You really think that those accused of misconduct will just admit to it all willy nilly? They don't. They always say they didn't do it, or come up with some total bs excuse. This is standard. Refusing to believe victims and survivors just because "they have no proof", despite all the telling factors and circumstanses is just enabling this kind of behaviour to go on. Sexually harrassing people is way too convenient for abusers, since they can simply claim that there's no proof. That's not right. It's also disgusting how so many people attack those who step forward, yet have no understanding as to why some people don't tell anyone until long after it happened. People are usually extremely scared to speak out unfortunately, due to them knowing how they'll be percieved and attacked by others. Then you wanna blame people for not telling the entire world soon enough? Society has made it way too hard for those among us who's experienced all kinds of sexual abuse; ranging from minor harrassment and misconduct to actual rape. People are DISGUSTING. Defending someone's despicable actions is terrible and inhumane. False accusations are EXTREMELY rare, they just about never happens. Therefore, using the argument that "it may be false accusations" for EVERY accusation being made is partly the reason so many people would rather just keep quiet. I know that false accusations can happen, but that's so rare that we shouldn't default to that argument each damn time, like ya'll do. I will never understand why so many people are more eager to defend the accused rather than the accuser.
