Uh, he just wants to know if they're willing to open up to the simple possibility that they can be wrong. If people are 100% set in an opinion, especially when they themselves weren't directly involved in whatever incident, then there's no point in talking to them. That doesn't add value to any conversation. You have to be open to other possibilities when you don't truly know what happened. If they're completely set in their ways they won't listen to anything else, and even consider that they might be even just a little wrong. Speaking in general terms here, not this case specifically. I would be much more grafic so to speak if my answer was about this video alone, not in general.
