If she was going through withdrawal she couldn't have been there. That's how addiction works. That's partly what makes it so difficult. Especially with alcohol withdrawals, it can get fatally dangerous. You can DIE from alcohol withdrawals. It's more dangerous to quit alcohol than any other drug, literally. Even heroin. She can get seizures easily, like "dr" Phil mentioned. Therefore, she HAS to be in a hospital when withdrawing. She wouldn't be able to even sit straight, yet alone even managing to follow a conversation while being coherent. It's not possible. By this point alcohol IS her lifeline, and needs CLOSE supervision to be able to start 'clearing out'.
