  13. A lot of the problem with the conservative view of society and the two parent household which don’t get me wrong I’m hugely in favor of a two parent household. However why do we have less and less of that these days? Well the stigma of divorce has gone away and women are able to get jobs and leave unhappy marriages and those are good things. So it’s a shift in society for sure. But to say we can’t keep women’s lib and we have to go back to the old days where (which happened in my dads family) the Catholic girls child was sent off to be adopted and never talked about because she got pregnant in high school. Is that better? My aunts messed up from that so maybe people should grow up and learn how to have both freedom and provide family support. But conservatives constantly want to go back to 1952.

Perhaps this is naive but why ca USA foreign policy include the idea that China and Russia do not want democracies on their borders and just set some boundaries so they feel safe from encroaching Democracies? Putin and Xi Ping are dictators and not people to emulate as Republicans would have one believe. Just offer them some security that we will do what we can to keep our ideas in our areas and maybe China would let North Korea become more normalized
