Sadly, today we once again see education used as a tool of propaganda and teachers who will not collaborate being fired and prosecuted. While the persecution faced by those who live by their conscience are far less severe than what was suffered under Nazi rule, to see people being thrown out if their jobs for "misgendering" someone certainly suggests a lack of freedom of speech and thought.
