Violence and criminality do not solve problems, they create more. Mathew 5:44 "However, I say to you: Continue to love your enemies and to pray for those so persecute you" If a person is dangerous we must trust in the state, God's blunt instrument, to deal with them appropriately. No state is perfect, but they are still a better alternative to vigilantism.

@Dak Samseng Christ taught that we must love our neighbour, caring about the wellbeing of ones who hate us as much as we do our own, I fail to see how this can be considered violent. Most would say that people have a right to kill in self defence, Christ told his followers not even to go that far. As for Judaism, when it was intended to exist it served a nessercary purpose, and when that was fulfilled it should have changed. Islam is it's own thing but remains a marked improvement upon paganism and atheism, it's just as militant as them but in theory has rules protecting civilians, though it often fails to apply them, atheism and the paganism it replaced lack such rules to begin with.
