The Bible is completely reliable, "Scholars" questioning it's reliability have no sound basis for doing so, likewise people have no right to twist the Bible to fit some human ideology. The Bible, specifically the book of Isaiah, predicted the fall of Babylon to cyrus long before it happened, that should be certain proof.
