  1. Certainly, to a Christian the "Can God create a rock so heavy he cannot lift it" would be more a word game than a real question, God is all powerful, so anything he creates is lesser than him. The people who do think that God just keeps going up and up are Mormons, who believe in an infinite number of gods, YHWH being just one, the lowest.

  3.  @TheImperatorKnight  Some people say they are. What do you think? Are humans held to any different moral standards than animals? It certainly seems that we are, love is a concept quite removed from an animal fight for survival, for example, showing love to others, showing love even to our enemy, does not apparently promote our own survival, but it is a morally good thing to do. You have done a great deal to teach people about history, both the details and the overview, it seems that you are acting out of love for others, a desire to help other people, something not motivated by mere self preservation.

  5. One the one hand you say you don't believe in morality, but you clearly do believe some things are right and others are wrong. You wouldn't be doing any of this if you didn't think the things you are arguing against are morally wrong. How do you define those rights and wrongs if you don't accept morality? Clearly, not all things are morally equal.

  7. I would point out that the very high child mortality rates you describe were not universally applicable in all areas or time periods prior to the industrial revolution, though absolutely are a rule of thumb.

  24.  @patricksullivan4329  Yes. It is be because of the meat of his policies he can be considered socialist, not the name of his organisation. If an organisation chooses a name they want to associate themselves with it, so they are responsible for accounting for what that name represents, but the reverse isn't nessercerily true, a name can be an attempt at misdirection.

  25. Of course, there is no reason why someone following an altruistic principle could not recognise that it is more beneficial to the whole to create a solid base, built on rock rather than sand, from which to reach out to others.

  26. Some were, but only a minority. Some protestants were very in favour, other were very opposed. The nazis were generally anti Catholic, but some Catholics supported them. Of course, the Positive Christians were created by and for Nazi purposes, but they were not actually Christian theologically, rejecting large parts of scripture. Mormons were supportive of the Nazis, while Christadelphians and Jehovah's Witnesses were persecuted by them for being non political and non violent. Its a mixed picture.
