Week? Do you mean hour?

No, a modern history series seems more likely. After all, it featured headphones. Headphones are modern history.

Those attacks failed though. Napoleon just failed harder.

As far as not including the books of Maccabes is concerned, the general consensus is that they're right, they're just not Biblical. Something can be both true and not part of the Bible. If they were not included in the earliest manuscripts, were not among the texts translated with the Bible in the early days of Christianity, it seems safe to assume they fall into roughly the same space as Thucydides.

@victoreduardo3871 New Zealand is famously left off of many maps, lots of maps make it impossible to easily represent accurately so quite a few just leave it off entirely.

Frankly, the more important aspect is that politics taints Christianity whenever the two touch. Whether church and state meet, Christianity suffers and becomes a tool for state control.

"As an Orthodox Jew" "He's my personal idol" Ironic, he could save others from idolatry, but not himself.

If it was blasphemous, WHY DID THEY NAME A TYPE OF DOG AFTER HIM?

Sokolov was a hermaphrodite, at least according to most modern study, there was more going on there than just ideological transexuality.

Yes but also no. People today in cities live shorter lives than pre-tobbaco popularity rural peasents, if you don't count infant mortality. Why? Smoking and pollution. Yeah, medicine has advanced and that's great but technological innovation can also lead to things going worse. As for infant mortality, while for over a millennium we have not understood how to not cross-contaminate corpses and babies, something we have only just rediscovered, if we belive certain ancient texts some civilizations DID understand these things and suffered far fewer infant mortality rates than their medieval successors, and us until very recently. So, technological advancement has already made certain things worse, just as they have done the opposite.

Lovecraft, weirdly for a racist, had no problem with Hispanics. He likely quite liked the whole "old, non-european god" thing.

I heard that out to and was surprised not to hear meteors crashing into a city.

To be fair, that one being a fake out was kind of foreshadowed.

I Always thought 40k Christmas was Sanguinalia. Huh.

One of the best elements of 40k is how it treats authoritarianism, the mix of recognising that the Imperium's nature makes life awful for the average citizen, while also, given the situation, being genuinely necessary. It makes a nice juxtaposition to the propaganda of authoritarians of reality by creating a reality in which the most extreme instances of oppression and tyranny are wholly justified.
