The thing about the "Volksverhetzung" laws, he mentions (about free speech vs. solidifying truth).
1. its actually "Holocaustleugnung", whats completly forbidden. It is super specific and is not applied on anything else than the holocaust. If u try to deny the holocaust or to relativate numbers or german evolvement, u will get a problem. It might be debatable, if the law is still nessessary today, but after the 3rd Reich felt, it was very important to have it - The germans had to understand what happend and why the country had to change.
2. "Volksverhetzung" (racist hatespeech) is a bit more complicated and open for debate.
So ye, what I want to say is: The only ppl who are saying that Germany has no free speech are those, who want to openly deny the holocaust (that it didnt happen at all, the numbers are wrong, the jews faked it or that Germany had nothing to do with it). If u are one of these ppl, with such a mindset - pls never come here, u are not welcome.
