most people are just staying far away from politics and minding their own business day to day. those who do not cope with this life, have/are, moving away

Great guys on a individual level. But theri culture and mindset is more concervative and old-fashioned than in the west, and this kind of reflects up to the ruling elite and their attitude towards the western society. But generally, seems like the russian population and the leading elite lives in different worlds. The elite sits with most of the guns, so if you wanna live you just stay quiet and out of politics, follow the flow

Will be no particualr change until the people grown up during soviet time and their kind of mindset, is gone. Putin and his team of leaders, it's people trained and started building their careeres during the 70-80's. Maybe in 20 years when most of these people, 60-70 years and up, are gone, some positive improvements can be seen.

@steveosborne2297 Putin hs spent the last 20 years introducing Soviet 2.0 more or less and brought the country back in time. Hopefully things turns for the better when most of these people are gone. Not very optimistic about Russia for the next few decades, just hopes someone not too crazy takes over after Putin. Baby steps
