@nathanjamesbaker Sorry, I must laugh of your ignorance) But it's not your fault, you are misled by the media. Anyway, whatever. The US sending their troops and weapons all over the world, into many different countries; 'Saints!'. Putin doing millitary drills wintin his country; insane dictator!!!' Lol...

NATO were the ones bringing their troops and weapons up very close to the Russian border, in Eastern Europe, provoking them, starting some few years ago and ongoing. And now the same people screams about Russia doing mliitary drills in their country, and having a drill with their partner, Belarus. NATO and US are fully allowed to bring their troops and weapons to their outer borders, while if Russia moving troops around in THEIR country, it's a very bad thing. So stupid.

The Russians are putting pressure on the Ukraine government to come to some sort of a deal with the breakout regions in eastern Ukraine, to have the 8 year lasting war there ended, right on the russian border. That's the main issue what's going on here. In the bigger perspective it also includes NATO pulling back a bit from the Russian border with their weapon systems and tropps that have been there for some years already.

Because of the Cold War (ended 30 years ago) the Russians are by much of the western governments defined as 'evil country which will invade and destroy Western Europe ' still today, even the Russian leadership and society have changed alot since those days. Then on the other hand one have Russia, that have WWII strong in mind, invaded and 27 million people lost, and do not want to see it happen again. They see Nato as a possible invader, for change of regime, putting in their puppet. There you go, both fear eachother.

Nothing to do with who's fault. The WW2 is still very strong in mind in Russia because of the big loses compared to so many other countries. In Russia they have a real fear of them being invaded again, by whoever, that's one of the reasons they othen show of their millitary. Their biggest fear of to day is Nato.

It's NATO that are the bit more aggressive part, they are the one moving their weapons and troops up close to the Russian borders in the first place, Baltics and other Eastern EUrope countries. Russian did not do the same
