When it comes to like here, small town Montana, imo locals don't care too much about whatever money the newcomers got or not, but feel frustration about the sharply rising property costs that comes along with new people moving in.   186. A resident comment here that there are about 270 people living in the town, of which 200 in the big building, the others mainly in some smaller 3 story appartment building. Might be a handful of houses in use, but seems they found it the most practial to use the appartment buildings, which survived the tsunami. They got a medical center for urgent care. Air-liftedout, or the 1 hour drive to Anchorage if not too critical and the tunnel open. Guess the town was estabished mainly because of the harbor, a great 'short cut' for goods from the 48 lower to reach Anchorage. The town seems mainly to be about the harbour and freight services, with many of the workers living in the outskirt of the harbour area.
