  1. wow, that's pretty much oil use. Valvoline Restore & Protect oil is mentioned as an option to try clean out old stuck oil in the engine freeing up the piston rings, make them let less oil slip away. It it has come too far and there is mechanical wear inside the cylinders, one can't do anything to fix it
