In India they not use the engine, to save gas, but use the air pressure from the horn to push the car forward. That's why the horn is engaged 100% of the time.

...as it helps to use the horn...come on. When there is a long que, EVERYONE is stuck. But naturally, some drivers do not understand this at all. I've as good as stopped using the horn, and so has most drivers in my region) Just total waste of energy. Drive from home 5 minutes earlier, stop stressing around.

It's not difficult to find countries where it is x10 more dangerous on the roads than Russia, and also countries where it is less dangerous. It looks more dangerous on russian roads than it is as about every car have a dashcam, so we get to see 'all'. While in other countries maybe just 10% of the cars have dashcam, and it all looks more 'safe', as we just see a fraction of the actual accidents on video. but natually, in all countries there are potensial for making the roads safer, Russia, England and so on

He was probably just doing some work along the road / in the neighbourhood, going back and forth, no point in getting stuck in a que if it's avoidable

Traffic in russia is 'very safe' compared to the middle east, countries in asia, but more dangerous compared to the rest of europe. Everything is relative.
