Not so many different products in the shops from time to time back in those days, but people 'starving to death' is a bit over the edge. People growing their own vegetables, farmers markets and such.... Was more about people had money but there was not much to buy, and some years later on it kind of turned to the opposite.

To say it generally I got the impression that to most people 80-90% of the money goes to food, housing, clothes, all the needed stuff, not much let at the end. Traveling abroad to like Turkey for a week holyday in the summer are seen as a luxuary to large part of families.

Sending tens of thousands of russian men into neighbour countries to be killed or injured for nothing, not helping the situation for the russian inhabitants at all, seems pretty good russian common sense

@Светлана-ф4с8н I know many have, but there must also be many who not have access to land and/or not the time/health/interest do grow their own products and are more depended to buy most. It is posivtive to eat vegetables and fruits for sure, and minimum 'junk food'
