Planet Duh I must admit I don't know much of the story with Chevy since the 80's to now. I grew up back then and remember well his movies from the height of his career. I don't want to judge or something, it's not of my buisness, but it struc me a bit seeing the interview that why didn't his wife, or who she is, at least made him shave and put on a shirt, when being interviewed. Maybe she did, and he didn't care. Fair enough, looks like he is relative okay, cozy house, not living alone, doing his life not caring too much what others might think and say negatively about him

Wish for him to be able to put most of the bitterness and old stuff behind him, let it go, get in shape and concentrate on other/new things, enjoy the rest of his life. Guess he always have been a quite sensitive and a bit unsure of himself kind of person. Show business is though I would guess. Why not put it all away, go fishing. He'll always have those great movies to look back at, the haters can't do anything about them.

He would not made it back then if it wasn't for his good looks. Times changed, one get older, and more difficult to meet the competition from younger people. There are many funny young and pretty people out there in the que outside the Hollywood studioes. If one in addition to being 'old' is a bit 'difficult' to work with, it doesn't help. Show business is hard.

I guess he made it in the 70's much because of his looks, quite handsome back then, and had a kind of humor that was a hit back in the days. Without his looks he would never made it. More of a kind of superstar with in a niche, which was quite big back then but the fans have been fewer and fwer/grown up. Not something that one could float on for decades after decades. He was not able/willing to 'call it a day' when the 'game was good', and change work.
