Facts are the wind blowing glowing/burning pieces of material from one place to antoher at random. But hey, facts are naturally boring, I agree, here is one for you; aliens in UFOs kept the houses of 'their people' safe, by directing heavy airstreams fromt their crafts at those homes.

Sea water do damage soil and vegitation, they try to avoid it. Maybe they have used it somewhere, I do not know. A main issue is human and equipment resources, lack of it
1
Yes, great to see some houses still standing. And will create a lot of jobs cleaning and rebuilding these neighbourhoods, boosting the local economy.
1
yeah, I guess there are many lots here that will not be rebuilt. At least for a good while.

Technology is there to control large wildfires, but one need human resources and capital in addition. fire departments can't have budgets taking height for such enormous fires as this, and have them under control fast. One have allowed houses in areas that has been pointed out as being especially in risk of potential wildfires. Then again, there is a lot of pressure at the LA area, many people wants to build their homes

It could, but one try to avoid it as vegitaion can take a lot longer time to come back, and unburnt trees/vegitation can be 'killed'. That could be a good thing concerning fires, but at the other hand they do not wish having burnt out hills around for a long time. Maybe some seawater has been used, due to the big emergency, I do not know

People do not wish to live in concrete bunkers like one see in 3'rd world. They take their chances to live more comfortble.

the bad guys always gets weapons somewhere

Lots of additional vegitation since the heavy rainfall a time back, no rain for a long time, everything dry, dry winds from the east, some human activity made a spark, pluss some people adding more fires 'for fun'. The 'perfect storm' What a tragedy
1
Still lots of wooden details on brick/concrete homes. It does not hurt having concrete homes regarding fires, but with a fire this level it likely do not do a big difference, the temperature is so high, strong winds blowing glowing material randomly around

There is no one in control. Wind and fire have their free will, it's the way of the nature
1
@F.H. You are full of shite Sir. 100%. Suggesting God sitting micro manage, removing some buildings of L.A ???? Spare the public for it, keep it to yourself.
1
Ruin vegitation for a long time. They want to avoid it. It might have been used anyway
1
Yes. Climate change, helps towards more extreme weather conditions, both dry and wet. At what level climate change affects, one can always discuss. All the rain made for more vegitationin these hills, more material for the fires

Did these home owners do anything bad?
