  2. One can call everything 'motor' in english to. It's just that some people, some time, have 'decided' that it is of outmost importance to differ between eletric and 'oil ' engines, for whatever reason. In many other countries one do not care, everything is a motor that powers things, does not matter if its steam, coal, wood, diesel, gas fired.
