He took a very big risk starting his war, and now anger is growing in Russia with mobilisation, that he needs because he did discover that the war was not so easy to win.   14. I don't think this is about economical benefit. It's most likely, if man made, a part of a bigger political play creating uncertainess, and the economical costs regarding the pipelines are minor in the big picture. It's a open question
