@matsv201 the major truck manufactures typical started offering automated manual transmissions from about year 2000. Scania was a bit earlier, last part of 90's. Cars with automatic transmissons has been in eurpoe since the 1950's, about 50 years before it became normal in trucks. Fist with american cars, later on with typically in Mercedes and others. But manual transmission cars where muh more used. From year 2000 also more and more automatics in cars. People had more money, and wanted more comfort, first of all.
