  1. There is a large interest for American trucks in Europe too, but then as a hobby vehicle. Truckers use the Euro trucks for work, to make a iiving, and then some of them have a older US truck, typically Peterbilt or Kenworth, as a hobby, bring it to shows in the summer time. Length restrictions makes most american trucks less suitable in Europe, except some few cases where it is natural to use a shorter trailer than the standard 45 ft.

  9. Price of a Scania in Europe and price of Peterbilt or Kenworth in the US is possible similar, they are all in the upper/top price range. A challenge for Scania if to sell in the US is to keep the original quality and also have a compeative price. They need a assembly plant in the US, to avoid most import taxes. My impression is the Volvos made in the US are a bit lower quality, older spe than the european Volvos. Tough price competition. Many large truck companies do not want to offer their drivers so nice trucks, they like to buy something cheap,and there are many drivers from abroad wanting to work for low salaries

  10. The factory has done measures to make thngs easier adapt to US trailer, among else electric connetor, in accordance with Bruce's input. The deal has been Bruce, as the local expert, doing the final touch-up. f Bruce got in touch with his guy in Scania, naturally they would offer the help they could.

  16. Easier getting in and out of a convential Peterbil, Kenworth, much larger sleeper. This cab-over will likely be a step in front of many Peterbilts and Kenworths when it comes to effiiency, ease of operating, ease of getting around tight streets, low noise level and so on.

Scania is not the top selling truck manufacturer, they will always be looking out for good adverticement opportunities. It does not matter many people around the world knows about Scania, there are many brands competing about their attention., 24/7. Bruce is first of all interesting to Scania because of marketing to a possible new market; the US. If that should not give so much response, it is still not in vain; Bruce's channel will have help in remind peope from other countries about the brand

  27. Your last point is correct. It's an adverticement opportunity for Scania, and Bruce is their 'adverticement agent' in the US. Not just towards the US truckers, but the channels has viewers all over the world, in many markets where Scania already is established. It's very tricky to get a foregin truck, newer than 25 years, legal for the US roads. Basically the only way to do it, Bruce not being a bilionare himself, was to let Scania take care of everything. It's their demo truck,only allowed on US highways, 1-3 years before out, due to it's owned by the manufacturer and is for marketing purposes only. Bruce can transport his own things with it, but it can not be used for ordinary freigth, where one get paid
